I spend a lot of time working my binoculars. For every squirrel I find sitting out on a stump or a limb, I'll find a dozen sneaking a peak from the shadows or from behind a stump or log. It may take me an hour to hunt a couple hundred yards.
I was in the shade, leaning up against a nice old oak tree glassing all the nooks and crannies in front of me, when I spotted this guy grabbing a quick peek.
He's just about 45 yards out. I'm shooting the FX Whisper with the 14.5 grain PCP 2 tin pellets.
I love the sound of the pellet connecting, and watching the dust blow in the wind.

Nice Cliff,
VERY NICE !!!!

Thanks, glad you liked it. I love picking these guys out of their hiding spots. I love a 65 yard shot on one on the end of a log as much as the next guy, but there is something very satisfying about finding a peeker and then taking care of business.

That wasn't much of a target - good job shooting. What is the fps of your Whisper?

dw, I haven't chronoed her with the 14.5 grain tin alloy pellets, but she was doing 910 fps with 16 grain JSB's when I was shooting them.
