Ran some tests today after work. In each case, external temp was controled at 85degrees and the guns/tanks were allowed to stablaize for an hour. Shots wer at a rate of once every 60seconds. Two "blank"shots tanken at conenction of the tank/cartridges befor going to record. All were in .22 and only Benjamin Diabolo (14.3gr.) pellets from the same tin used. Not looking for max. speed, have been tuned for noise/accuracy.

Max. vel. variation: 5.2 FPS.
Bulk filled (filled, tanke disconnected)
Average of 12 shots (#2 through #14) = 658fps
Max. vel. variation: 8.1FPS
Two 12gr. Corsman cartridges:
Average of 12 shots (#2 through #14) = 595fps
max. vel. variation: 25.7 FPS

20oz. paintball tank remote line:
Average of 12 shots (#2 through #14) = 568fps
max. vel. variation: 2.5fps
3.5oz. paintball tank attached:
Average of 12 shots (#2 through #14) = 567fps
max. vel. variation: 3.1fps.
One 12gr. Crosman cartridge attached (with adaptor)
Average of 12shots (#2 through #14) = 543fps
max. vel. variation: 21. 3 fps.
It's not the power that's real noticable...but the low vel. variation is. Probably from the large supply of co2 tanking small temp. variations in stride; just amkes sense that tapping a little "puff" from a big tank is going to be more uniform than tapping a "puff" from a tiny tank. Does expalin whey these guns, once bulked, seem to shoot better at long range...might just be the vel. uniformity.
As for the vel. gains, that is also from the large volume...during the time the valve is open, the gas pressure is pretty uniform thoughout that time frame. With a small tank/cartrige, there seems to be a cahnge in pressure while the co2 goes though it's liquid-to-gas conversion . Part of it might be that without a cartdige in front of the valve, the piercing pin has noting to run into to stop its forward movement(it's not running into the cartrige)...so the valve stays open longer with bulk systems, letting more gas flow during that longer opening.
