: Older Airforce Co2 pistols
: JMG September 05, 2007, 01:17:52 PM

I have a buddy that I work with and he has an older Airforce Co2 pistol. We are gonna get a pic or 2 up but for now just a description. It is a .22 cal. The best way to describe the look of the gun would be a 9 mm luger. The barrel sits in a cast tapered tube. It looks like the frame and tapered tube was painted from the factory. The cap that screws up into the grip has a lever on it that actuates the piercing pin for the cartridge. The bolt is turned and then pulled back to get to the breech, and then pushed back in and turned to lock the bolt in place. It has studs that stick out from the side of the action that are pushed forward to cock the gun. It has plastic grips but they look like pretty nice fake wood grips hehe. If anyone knows about the older airforce guns send me a message on what ya might know and also if you have any links I would appreciate them. Thanks gang.

I dunno about Airforce, but what you are describing sounds like an old Crosman gun.
Crosman Mark2:

This one has custom grips, but looks mostly stock other than that.

I think ya hit the nail on the head Dan. I think it is a mark 1. According to the little bit of reading I did the mark 1's are .22 and the mark 2's are .177. So thanks a bunch I appreciate the info!!!

Hehe, I was reading your post, over and over....putting the description together in my head and the only thing that fit perfect was the Mark1/2.  Yuppems, one is .22 and the other a .177...I can never remember which is which:)  Another tasty tidbit....that gun after getting the Mac1 Airguns treatment and rework is called an "LD".  It is the base platform that the LD is built from.  Ya ever shot Steve's?  He's got a pretty slick one that he lets his daughter shoot.  I think his is a .22, so I guess it's a MK1?  Of course his has the super ultra duper Steve Corcoran pistol stock on it too:)

We really have to get together and shoot again soonish.  I only got one day off from my wife out of the 4 day Labor Day weekend and I had already made plans to go "woodwork" with Steve.  Of course I also took part in the "158 yard challenge"...haha!  Got two cans with my Talon, and those heavy 10.5 grain Kodiaks knock them real good even at that distance.  Steve claims he could hit one with his LD if he tried hard enough, but he only hit 2 with his new Super10 in the same amount of time as me.
