I finally managed to update the RSE site and have not only added an illustrated Daisy/Winchester 1000 tear-down guide but I've also managed to make the improved trigger guide available (version 2.0).
Both are available for download here...

I hope you find them usefull. If you have any comments or suggestions, please feel free to drop me an email.
Thanks.

Thanks Gene, it has been an absolute pleasure being involved in the airgunning experience.
I would love to say that my work on these guides has been totally selfless but in all honesty, I love the fact that I meet so many others as a result of my work.
I consider every one of them a friend and I hope they can say the same of me.

Hey Russ ! I am doing the .20 cal Win 1000X, ya I got bored today and took apart the 1000X and removed the barrel just to see how it was assembled.
The barrel is screwed in like the Gamo's, in fact it's the same thread size, and other than the lenght of the threaded part you can screw in a gamo barrel. Barrel came out EASY,I just removed the barrel pivot screw and I stuck on my brass vise jaws and clamped in the barrel and took a rag over the pivot block and a cresent wrench and unscrewed it off . Hardly no pressure to unscrew the barrel it kinda suprised me. The pivot screw is what holds the barrel in the block, they must drill the hole after the barrel is installed because if the pivot hole.
This 1000x was putting out 7.9 CPL's at 1050 or so, and if it will push 11.2 gr FTS's at 800 or so it's going to be a killer rifle. Will keep ya informed.

Please keep me informed as I would love to make a .22 cal version. Good power and accuracy out of an inexpensive gun, can't beat that.
