I got that email from Natchez earlier,,,, I spent about 20 minutes staring at the "order now" links and my index finger kept quivering. I finally summoned up the strength to close the email and not order anything........
but I didn't delete it :)

Your a good man Jeff,
And a strong man, just keep telling yourself, If I buy one more airgun, my wife will KILL ME !!!!
It works for me, most of the time...:-) Heck, I taught her to shoot firearms years ago, I have to be careful...

When the BIG Natchez catalog shows up in my mail it comes in the house, gets set on the kitchen counter.....and if I'm not really quick.....my wife recycles it:) She hasn't gotten into my email yet, but I think my spam filter gets rid of anything that says "Buy Now" and "Airgun" in the same message:)

Just picked-up the Gamo R-77 4" barrel combat pistol. Should be fun for plinking, at close range. This is my first CO2 gun. Are there cartridges of choice, which perform better than others, or are more powerful? Bang for buck? Should I order in 25 bulk?
Thanks!

I use the Crosman powerlets, work good, never gotten a dud. I have also used the "Brass Eagle" brand and they were ok too, but they have a sticker on them that tends to make the powerlet get stuck in my guns....stick to the Crosman ones. I've never tried Daisy or anyone elses, but suspect they are "ok" also. The thing with CO2 is that it is liquid and at a constant pressure at a given temperature...so you aren't going to get "a real extra powerful" one, just one that lasts longer or lasts shorter. Your main concern is getting "clean" ones, and I avoid the ones with stickers. Also wipe them down before putting them in your guns so you don't get junk in your valve or seals. As far as purity of the gas inside them from brand to another, I couldn't tell you, but I have had no problems with the crosman ones. Hth!

Got a 25 pack of Crosmans at WM for a nice price. Shot 32 pellets through her tonight. Don't think I'd pay more than 39.99 for this gun. Cylinder freewheels when shut. Not a good thing. Not a good thing at all.

I may have to go back and dust off my chemistry book, but I don't remember CO2 in a liquid form. Solid form is dry ice and of course there is its gaseous state, but I am pretty sure there is no liquid form of CO2....
Scratching my head,
Ron
I apologize.... I just checked it out and carbon dioxide can be found in liquid form but only at pressures exceeding 5.1 bar. Hmm... I guess I learned something new today! :)
