him i'm new to shooting and i have a crossman quest with a barska 3x12x40ao scope. the scope is huge and i primarily use the gun for 15-25' shooting. i just ordered a leapers 6x32 bug buster. any thoughts as to if this would be a better choice? thx

I would have tried a BSA 2-7x32 AO. 6 power is a lot at 25'. JMO

Chuck, Jason is right on with that BSA 2-7X32 AO.. It is a great scope for the distance you are looking for and the scope is built for air rifles as well. I have two and the are very nice scopes. But I think they are a bit pricy..:)

thanks for the info, if the bug buster doesn't fit the bill i'll try that scope.

Hey, Chuck, if you get a decent Bug Buster, i.e. good optics, but still decide you don't like it, let me know, I have a BSA 2-7x32 that I'd trade you. I tried 2, but the optics were so bad, they were useless over 10 yards or so, I sent them back. But I still like the concept, so keep me in mind. Later. Oh, and Gene's right, the BSA is a great little scope, but for my shooting and eyes, more power is better :-).

I really like my Tasco Golden antler 3-9x32 AO TT scope. Medium sized, Clear and durable and only $43 from optics Planet inc. freight( last I checked). Just get a onepiece scope mount, like an Accushot medium high, and get rid of the stock rings. It'll hold a lot better.
