: Squirrel hunting at sun rise.
: September 15, 2007, 08:47:19 AM

Went squirrel hunting today at sun rise.
Now mostly I hunt them with a 22 rim fire, but I wanted more of a challenge.

So I used my 25. Daq outlaw for this hunt. I had to rely on more of stalking.
So I am hunting at the edge of the woods, which I know is always good to see squirrels there. Because they will come & go from the wood line a lot.

So I hear a squirrel barking at me, but I can’t see him. Then I stalk toward the sound of the barking. There he is! But is too far off about 60 yards. So I stalk in closer to him. He is running in the trees! And making he way to me! Barking all the time!

I have him in my scope, & wait until he stops, he did to get a closer look at me.

And that is when I let him have it! I shot him in the front shoulder, down he comes.
He hit’s the ground with a thud! Dead at 40 yards. I stalk him for over 10 minutes.
