Would the Gamo Hunter 440 be a good choice for a left handed shooter?  I don't want to spend over $140.
I bought a Crossman 760 new 30 yrs ago and it's been a great shooter for the money.

Thanks Arthur

Welcome to GTA Arthur, glad you joined our Airgun addicted family. I think it would be fine for both left and right handed shooter's. I think most stock's are made for right handed shooter's with the cheek rest set up for that. I am also left handed and own Airgun's with cheek rest set up for a righty, adapt hehe. Some synthetic stock's are made for both, you want to be comfortable with the hold and rest so that your shot's reflect that. Again welcome and hope this helped some. Ed

Just wanted to welcome you to the forum Arthur.  I'm a right handed shooter so I can't help ya there, although I agree with Ed (shadow) I don't think you'd have any problems with the 440.  If you plan on hunting with that 440, or any other airgun, be sure to post the details and pics in the "Hunting Gate".  We just love huntin stories and pics  :)

AGain, welcome to the forum.  I'll be looking forward to your future posts.

BTW:  you do know that Natchez is still selling new 440's for $119 bucks right????

Jeff

Thanks for the info....I had seen on the forum that Natchez still had the Gamo Hunter 440 for $119....would you buy the Gamo 440 over the Crossman Quest/Phanton series?
Thanks,
Arthur

A BIG G.T.A. Forum WELCOME, Author,

We are glad that you have become a member of our Forum, and I know that you will find it "A GREAT PLACE TO BE " !

I know that you will find that the Gamo 440 a step up in airgun shooting, from the Crossman 760. Now I would buy a Game 440 as they tend to be better out of the box, than the Crossman Quest, but as they say, a new airgun can be the Luck of the Draw. You can always find good and bad rifles in either brand name. I'm sure other members that own the Quest will add there opinions, as well as Camo 440 owners.

So WELCOME to the GTA, and don't be a stranger here !!
