Just bought a house near the outskirts of town here. All the land in back of my property belongs to the county and there are no homes directly in back of me or to the right of me. I estimate my new digsbeing around 1 1/2 acre's. Been watching very closely when working on my shop that there are an abundance of squirrels and other critters. Hope to get settled in soon. I will be building a deck off the back of my place which will be my shooting point. I will have a clear view of everything from there in the back of the house. Here are some pics of my new hunting arena and target palace.... hehe

Beautiful backyard Gene, lots of trees, I love lots of trees. I can just imagine sitting on the deck with a glass of ice tea and a favorite rifle.
PS: Do people in S.C. play basketball in the grass?
-
Thank you Stephanie, and that is exactly what I imagine also.. hehe.. Hope to have the deck built by next spring. As I was taking these pictures there was a big owel flying over with what looked like a snake hanging from it's mouth..:) When ever I gaze out any of my window from the house I see squirrels and wabbits running around. I am going to build some targets back there as well and put up some bird houses on the trees and a few feeders for the birds..:)

Heaven buddy, look at all those varment holdout's er tree's and thicket's hehe. You have the perfect setup and just by looking at it, I know it's loaded with untapped hunting. That big ol tree in the first pic look's like a nice hangout for nutter's during the day and a roost for the owl's at night, they can sit there and check out any meal's in all that open ground. Very nice buddy, Jeff and I may have to stop in for a spell and conduct a hunting expedition with you. Love that shooting lane for target's and a varment that stray's in the target zone hehe. Ed

Ummmm....bushytails! Cue: Homer Simpson drooling sound
That looks perfect for someone into airguns, and possibly even rimfire.

Man Gene I have to get out of the city. Very nice piece of property. I keep seeing property like that makes me want to move.

Nice place, Gene! I am jealous. As for the basketball hoop (I had no idea folks in SC even KNEW what one of those looked like ;) ) you could always set a squirrel launcher on the deck and try for a 3-pointer! HA HA!!!
