Thought I'd show a little bit of where I work when I'm not at work:)

My hand-me-down drill press that I recieved after my fathe-in-laws passing from my mother-in-law.

tiny bandsaw I think I traded a Crosman pistol for.  It aint much, but it does what I need it to do.  Also the belt sander/disc sander....can you say "sawdust"?

Workbenches made from scrap wood from work and legs made from fence posts...these are some HEAVY tables.  Oscillating spindle sander and my scroll saw, two tools every grip maker should have.

4 pistol stock blanks that I put together this past weekend.  Takes alot more time than most people think just to get to this point.

You got plenty of tool's to do that fine woodworking that you pump out of there Dano.:)  Here's the airgun mod section of my shop, got my desk and computer to the lower right and smaller machining tool's for finishing work. My lathe and woodworking area is on the other side of the shop and painting area is at the far end. Ed

Nothing like free old door's lol. They make a nice solid tabletop , I have my small blue press mounted on the one in the pic. I use the knob holes to attach electrical plug-in's. Ed

you are FAR more organized than me.  My idea in a shop is make as much sawdust as you can live with before your wife starts complaining about you tracking it inside:)  I clean as I go, and blow everything out with an air chuck almost nightly if not more often, but somehow the stuff just builds up.  Also not in pictures is my rollaway from when I was an airline mechanic....geez, it must have a half inch of sawdust on it too!  Bummer I don't use those tools much anymore, sure have some nice Snap-On junk just getting lathered up in sawdust..hehe.  I've begun working on my airguns inside the house here at the computer desk because otherwise they get too dusty, and no-one likes a dusty gun:)  Maybe I should put my rollaway up for trade in the classifieds,"One roll away toolbox filled with every tool you need to be an aircraft mechanic....will trade for 30 sleeves of Kodiaks and an FX PCP compressor".  That would keep me shooting for a little while:)

Gene, you're back!  Where have you been, we were worried sick!

Ok, not really, Bob told us all that you have been moving.  So do you like your new digs?  When will you be ready to accept houseguests?  I am thinking I will come live with you and your airguns when my wife finally gets tired of sawdust and kicks me out...hehe!!!!!

Good to see you around the forum again, real gooood!

William, we must have gotten our workbenches at the same store- LOL. Exactly the same setup, except mine are a few years older and the dryer "bench module" is on the right instead of the left. Unfortunately, that's the only place in my house that the lighting is good enough for me to do close work. I'll hopefully be remedying that soon.

I bet you've also gotta be careful to put a towel down between the two halves of your "bench" to cover that crack so that small parts don't disappear.

Our shop, Dad's and mine has been growing for going on 40 years now. We constructed the building together, from foundation to roofing shingles, and have gone "halfsies" on all the machine equipment since the early 70's. We're both retired now, and use the shop mostly for out motorcycle passions.... but who knows...

Nice shop Kliff. Whats even better than the shop, tools, is all of the memories that ya'll have together in the shop. My Dad was very sick from'79 til He passed in'92. We both loved to fish so during the '80's if it wasn't raining,to bad, we were on the lake. Thanks for the post, it brought back alot of my own memories.

Mike

PS. I fixed the pic link for you.
