This is my method. I wanted a better foregrip for stability and weight up front. I took a block of wood and drilled a hole through the middle. I drilled deep enough to take the length of the tube. I then used a scroll saw to cut the block in half. I then ended up with 2 blanks. I then used a Dremmel and chisels to finish the inletting. I used an angle grinder to shape and smoothed off with a finishing sander. I fitted a sling pin and mounted the Bipod.

Now all I need to do is stain it. I've got some brown and green outdoor furniture stain. I'm going to attempt a camo style job. After all this is for my hunting gun.

Good idea looks good. I would like to see the finished camo effect.

You can see the original forgrip in the picture below the gun. The camo on the gun is a tape that is available locally. The camo on the foregrip isn't quite how I foresaw it coming out but it works. One day I'll have enough saved to send to you Ed for a complete camo job. As you can see by the foregrip, painting is not my best skill.

The camo on the forgrip look's sweet to me Andre and I think it turned out great, like the color's. The pattern's are fine and that would make a great autumn camo around here. As long as the manmade edges blend your good to go, great work Andre. Ed

Thanks Ed. I was hoping for a darker brown but thats how it goes. I could always add a few lines with a darker stain in the future. Otherwise I'm pleased with the outcome.
