I'd been watching the white squirrel (also known as "lucky bastage") and this little fella working the acorn tree in Bruceland for about an hour when it dawned on me that the chipper was probably bringing home these things to momma. At some point momma was gonna have more babies and I'd have more chipper tunnels around my basement window wells before the first spring rains.
I decided to be proactive on this one and turned my attention from target shooting to basement flood protection. Actually took a few rounds to get him too. Never injured him, just killed him dead with a good shot while he was shoulder deep in the grass. When I went to retrieve him I was not surprised to find his cheeks FULL of acorns. The Nitro 17 and the Crosman dome didn't give him time to spit out his nuts.

Nice shot Greg, I can see that ol hole in em from here and a mouth full of dinner. The Nitro look's good with her hunting face on and I'm figuring she'll get some more before it's all said and done. Ed
