Hopefully this doesn't qualify as a "dumb question"...here goes:
I have purchased a Hunter Elite and have heard bad things about the scopes that come with it from Gamo...all sorts of parallax problems apparently. So, I looked around a bit and found what appeared to be the right fix; the Nikko Stirling series made, according to the product blurb, for spring rifles.
My question is this: the scope is 13.8" long with an eye relief of about 3"...could I mount it on the rifle or would it interfere with the break action?
I appreciate the help.

That Nikko Sterling will fit on the action without interfering with the breech. The Gamo 1000 fps action can take a fairly long scope. I wouldn't advise a scope much longer than that though.

great. i appreciate the info.

Or you could just adjust the parallax of that BSA scope to your liking. As an example I adjusted the parallax at 9x mag to 10 meters where I do my paper punching. For hunting I use 3-5x mag which is then parallax free to well over 50 meters. At 3x mag the scope is parallax free to infinity, well at least to few hundred meters which is the longest I have measured.
