: Pellet Soldering/Welding or Stacking Pellets

Was sighting-in the Beretta CX4, and I thought I missed the target 3 shots in a row. Couldn't be. Must be going in the same hole. Picked-out the pellets (4 in cluster, 1 separated while I was scraping paper bits off them) and was surprised to find 3 of them were welded (soldered?) together in the cluster.
EDIT: The pellets were Crosman Premier Hollow Points.
Must be a lot of heat generated at impact to weld those together, or maybe just being malleable, they got up close and personal with each other? 8)
The backstop was a thick phone book, and the pellet cluster made it to nearly halfway through the book.
At any rate, it was amusing (simple minds are fascinated by simple things) to me.
Heh-heh! That was funny! I have to admit, I had the rifle on a site-in/cleaning base. It doesn't shake as much as I do! Hmmm...maybe a new art form has been discovered? Maybe not.Â

Oldpink, have to admit the CX4 gives me more pleasure than any other pellet gun I have. Must have something to do with being able to pop-off 30 rounds before a clip change. Have 4 clips with 30 rounds each.
Keep wondering where the pellets and CO2 bottles go. Costing a fortune, this one!
If only I could find a cheap, refillable CO2 bottle that would stay on the gun. Have seen conversions where the tank is worn on a belt, with hose going to the CX4, but that is just unacceptable.
Have seen where others installed a fill nipple in the rear of the standard 88G bottles, but that looks quite dangerous (threaded only), if not welded. I'd want a thick walled tank for safety, and then I'd still be worried.

I was told that Bryan and Associates (http://www.bryanandac.com/new_page_9.htm)hasairsource on/offvalves. For serious co2 use with an airsource thread, that sounds like the way to go.
