Got in 2 target sessions today in the backyard with the .177 QB57. While seated at my shooting bench during both sessions I had some starlings land in the oak trees in the backyard. I had recently mounted a new Centerpoint 3x9x40 AO scope on the 57 and the rifle is shooting groups just a bit smaller than a dime at 25 yards.
Wound up nailing 2 yellow beaks during each shooting session, all of em one shot kills and at a distance of 30 yards. Didn't even have to get up from the shooting bench,,,, just aimed the rifle skyward, sighted and took em out :)
With the new scope on her the QB57 has definitely become a force to be reckoned with in my backyard :)
Now all I need is for a couple of fat, stupid pigeons to come pay me a visit... :)

Please post photos of your QB-57 with that Centerpoint if you get a chance, I would love to see that scope on the QB !
All I can say is that's some little rifle !!!

Fine shootin Jeff, impressive with the lil 57 for sure. The more I look at her the more idea's I get for her and I'm sure that I will end up slamming the ORDER BUTTON!. Your's sure is a cooooool lookin shooter, great shootin again buddy but I didn't expect nothing less from my fellow sharpshooter. Ed

I know buddy, but when it was lost in shipping I had to go AAA class but I'm better now. I gess I'll have to ORDER one to keep up hehehe plus I got some idea's for one.:) Ed

Cool gun and pics, thanks for sharing. I can see myself buying one of these, plus my oldest son has fallen in love with it after seeing your pics. I promised him a QB-78 carbine model if his grades were good on his first report card, but this one may edge out the QB. How good is the take down feature on the barrel? If I were to buy one it would be taken apart often.

Extremely easy to take apart and put back together again, only takes about10 seconds. The key when putting it together is to slide the barrel into the receiver, lining up the metal tab on the barrel with the corresponding slot in the receiver, then grasp the cocking handle and pull it back a few inches before tightening down the retaining collar. This insures that the barrel assembly engages all the way down into the receiver.

QB-57 Smackdown! WooHoo! I've found a somewhat safe loading procedure, since I'm a lefty; cock the gun, position the cocking lever behind my back (would much prefer getting smacked in the back with the lever, instead of losing some fingers), tilt rifle up (Yes, up! Keeps me from dropping the pellet during loading.), slam the pellet into the breech, release anti bear trap, and snap lever shut (very hard to latch...lots of pressure on that lever on my gun).
I don't mind the short creep the trigger has. You know quickly when it's ready to fire. Trigger pull is not bad at all.
This little fart is my 2nd fun-gun, after the Beretta CX4.
