I love my wife...for bout 12 years now..but thats beside the point...
Today my Daughter and I are outside plinking cans @ 20 yards...She with the scoped Daisy 131 is spanking my butt 14-4 cuz Daddy took the disadvantage of the iron sighted Crosman 1377..(Thats my excuse)..So while im missing shot after shot the wife come out and makes a comment bout my stepson wanting to show me something,Im like sweeett less time for the 9 year old to humiliate me..Inside my son shows me some crazy clip on Youtube bout a game he plays and we chat for a bit when my daughter says back to it daddy,lets finish...Outside we go..Back to the bench..sit down..and a rifle appears in the rest next to me..So In a nano second several thoughts go through my mind.....Okayyyy you got my CF-X out...no thats Chris's G1 Extreme..NOOooo...Holt chit!!!
SHE BOUGHT ME THE RIFLE I'D BEEN EYEBALLIN !!!!!!!
THE MODEL I'D WANTED BEFORE I BOUGHT MY CF-X WHEN I GOT INTO AIRGUNNING !!
THE RIFLE THAT I'D SEEN HERE FOR SALE AND NEVER BOUGHT !!!
SHE SPENT HER FIRST PARTIAL PAYCHECK FROM HER NEW JOB ON ME..THIS RIFLE!!
I was stunned...numb...fighting tears...holly chit!! In the emotion I cant remember if I even said THANK YOU!! before stuffing a pellet into her. ..(the gun,not the wife)..I was only able to get bout 20 shots through her before dark but shes doing fine..Everything is as Black Mamba said.She shoots real nice and it shows what a tune can do for a gun..Gonna be a week before I can set down and get used to her but thats ok cuz ima gonna buy her some new clothes.......Still smiling..cant stop..

What a LADY you have there !!!! I think you should head out for a piece of jewelry for her ! I know that I wouldn't want her to loose that LOVING FEELING..

Great post, and it's okay to get all schmaltzy about it.
After all, she IS your girl, and I turn into a goofy fool when it comes to my 12-year-old, too.
Kids are our immortality, you know.
You have a terrific girl there, so show her how to use that new Nitro.

I am jealous on two counts. First, you have a fantastic lady for a wife and second, that is one incredible looking rifle. Congratulations on both counts and I wish you many more happy years with your bride.

Sometimes it's the unexpected thing's that say it all. :) It sound's like you have a wonderful family and a thoughtful and caring wife, truly the greatest gift of all. Injoy your new addition to the family hehe and I'm sure that your already planning something for the better half . :) Ed

Same as above, MY girls are wanting to shoot with me all the time also, fish or what ever, Gotta love those girl when they want to do what old dad does!.............Great wife also
