Last night I chewed the fat with my buddy Gene online and told him that I was going out for a midnight hunt. 11:30pm I put on a couple extra layer's for warmth, loaded a Predator in the TAC1 and vanished into the clear and chilly 30 degree night. Once again it was a pleasent and peaceful walk to the woodline, very still lastnight. I went through my checklist 15yrd's out from the grove, Predator loaded and safety on. I decided to work my way into the tree's without the lamp this time, kinda know my way out here day or night. Upon finding a nice spot next to one of my favorite stump's, I settled in and hit the lamp and began my scan of the woodland floor but spotted no movement so shut the lamp off waited in the darkness. After about twenty minutes I shined again but this time I spotted movement at the other side of the grove as I watched him work his way through the underbrush and into the clearing and began feeding. To much brush between us so I stood up and began a crouching stalk toward's my target, keeping the lamp on him the whole time and he didn't seem to mind. Now within 30yrd's of him and nothing between us I raised the TAC 1, flipped off the safety and with the illuminated crosshair's placed between the ear and eye I sent the Predator away. IMPACT!, he flipped and did a death dance for a couple and collapsed. I looked at the time, 2:00am but time doesn't matter when hunting so I stepped out the yard's, 24 to my harvest and headed home. I reached the ranch, hung him outside in the chill and went to bed. Awoke at 8:00 am took a pic for my fellow hunter's, cleaned em and in the icebox. Night hunt's are my favorite for sure. Ed

Hey Buddy,,,, excellent shooting and details but you're killing me,,,,,, I'm sitting here at work up to my arm pits in paperwork, phones ringing off the hook, people walking into the lobby asking a thousand questions and I was fine until I read your post and saw that beautiful pic.......... Now all I wanna do is tell my Lieutenant that I'm feeling sick and need to go home so that I can grab a gun and go night huntin !!!!! :)
Another great hunt, another great story and another great pic...... Keep up the good work :)

Pretty much fix .22 but she shoot's hard and accurate. Very smooth, except for trigger, a CDT Trigger is a drop in. Ed
