I think that my Airbud Gene must be good luck for once again I chewed the fat online with him then headed out for a morning hunt. 8:30am I dressed for the 30deg. morning with camo on top and decided that the BEEMAN 950GH.22 needed to get another harvest notch on her stock. I also decided to use the Gamo Master Point pellet since I've had good result's with it before. Loaded up I grabbed the squirrel call, tin and the Beeman and headed for the second grove. No sun this morning, slight haze but no wind as I made my way across the field's with as much stealth as possable. I closed in on the grove and went into super stealth mode as I made my way into the canapy of tree's, looking for a good hide to blend into. Settled into a brushpile I started to pop the call, that was quick as a distant bark answered back, we went back and forth and he was moving in to find the trespasser. I spotted him atlast, 40yrd's and closing but he froze maby sensing that all wasn't right so I popped the call a couple more time's which got his attention. Running to the edge of limb, he searched the ground for the intruder which gave me the shot that I wanted. Crosshair's were already tracking him and he had moved in under 40yrd's so with his moment of rest I put em on the sweetspot and sent the Master Point away. One can sure hear a solid impact in a silent grove, he hit several limb's on the way down but expired on the trip to the ground. Crawled out of the brushpile, a job in itself and stepped off the yard's which came to 36yrd's. The Beeman which I acquired from Peak! performed with flying color's once again and she had been begging to go hunting so were both happy now. The icebox is looking real nice and it's only November.
