Anything DYI is , Do It Yourself..



You don't mention what type of air gun that you might attempt tuning, CO2, Springer, or multi-pump. They all require different methods. And there are different methods that can be used on each type.

A good DIY tune or lube tune or home tune consists of cleaning factory lubes, deburring & polishing stamped areas and applying new proper lubes. It makes the rifle much smoother and better behaved. In case of Gamos gets rid of a lot of spring twang and vibration. Do a search on this forum, you'll learn a lot. For the  BigCat you will need a spring compressor to remove/install the mainspring. If you're not that mechanically inclined to build a compressor or work on the rifle, send it to Mr. Tuna, he will make your rifle much better than any diy tune.
