I have two QB78"s, .177 and .22. I don't seem to get very good results with the bulk fill.. About a dozen shots with both rifles I notice the pellets start dropping... Does anyone else share this result or do I have a problem.. I didn't seem to notice this with using the CO2 cartridges. Comments please... Thanks... FN

When you bulk fill you have to realise that if both the donor tank and the receiving tank are at the same temperature there will be no flow once the pressures have equalised. You must cool the gun and keep the donor tank warm. If the donor tank has a siphon tube you can leave it upright but if not you must turn it upside down for the gun take on liquid CO2 otherwise you are just getting gas and thats why your shot count is so low. The cooler the gun the better the bulk fill. It takes a bit of practice but you'll get the hang of it.

Hope this has been of some help.

Thanks for this information, guess that is what I have been doing wrong... not cooling the rifle itself. Guess that is why when filling paintball tanks they exhaust the first bit to cool the tank. And I should know this because I did read info about putting the tank in the freezer for a spell before filling. So I guess the freezer or expelling is the thing to do to improve results. You had a good bit of information in your message and I thank you for that.... F Nash

HI,
How did you go on with your bulk fills? I know it takes a bit of practice but you should be OK withit now.

The secret is having the rifle itself cooler than the tank... Thanks for the info and it works better now... Good info on the forum.... FN

The AR2078 is easier because it has a key to vent the gas. Fill you gun a little then fire and cycle the bolt real fast about 5 times that will cool the gun a bit then fill it the rest of the way. I wish someone would build a antisyphon tube for the gun to keep it from over filling the gunwith liquid CO2. I've seen it made for the Crosman guns but not the QB's
