Hello,
Have any of you folks ever seen one ? My back - yard and woodlands are full of both kinds. Grey squirells and white squirells. They aren't albino's , but a seperate species. No pink eyes. If I can figure out how to put pictures on this thing, I will show you some nice pictures. Best of luck...

I have a small population of black squirrels in the woods near my home. They are actually simply grey squirrels that have a genetic color variation, but I've never seen a white squirrel? If you could post some pics of that that would be cool. I've heard of albino squirrels, even though I've never seen one, but I really didn't know there were any species of white squirrels. Are you sure they aren't albinos?

Lived in upper MICHIGAN for awhile, first time I saw a black tree rat , their big . My shooting partner told me that their common here, freaked me out but I got over it and shot em.

That would be great if you could post a photo of it. I like to use photobucket then cut and paste the url. As for black squirrels, here in Ohio we have plenty of black squirrels. All of the black squirrels I have seen have been puny compared to the red/fox squirrel. Grey squirrels in my back yard seem thicker then these lil black tree rats.

ISnt it somehwat illegal to shoot the albino ones? Just what I heard...

.
We have red, gray and black.
A white squirrel would be neat !

I refuse to discriminate because of race, creed, color or the type of nuts they eat. ha

I have an albino (red eyes and all) that likes to prance around in my kill zones. He must know that the Wisconsin DNR frowns on killing albino critters.....
He is brazen too. Will prance around within 15 ft of my 100lb dog who just stands there and watches it thinking its a little dog.....

Maybe that albino gene effected his brain too :)
