Thanks, Big Bill. Is the grip ambidextrous? Can't tell from the pic.

Been lookin' at this pistol for quite some time.  The 45 bucks is a good price, so hit the trigger.  I was hopin' to find a promo code or free shipping on top of that, but no luck.  Had to try!

BTW, just pulled the trigger on a box of CPLs, dove-tail mounts, and 1399 stock for the pistol...this hobby is gettin' too expensive!

Already have a BSA Red Dot to put on it, when the mounts arrive.

I'm assuming the CPLs will be ducky in this pistol, as at least one reviewer (Tom G.) found them excellent in it.

Has anyone sprayed the plastic pump handle and shoulder stock, with the bed liner spray?

I'll have to do something with that fake wood grain pump handle, as the stock is solid black, and replaces those cheap plastic grips, in one fell swoop.

Charles, Ed has done the grips treatment which came out looking like wood. He posted an article on how he did it as well. Also there are pictures and the 1377 grips and pump handle indeed look like wood...:) Do a search and I think you will find it..

Good Luck

I wish there were a quick way to detach the shoulder stock/grip assembly, and reinstall the grips, to convert from a rifle to a pistol easily and quickly.  Looks like some screws hold both grips and stock/grip assemblies.

You're right, Charles, the 2 screws are what hold both the 1399 shoulder stock and the stock pistol grips to the frame. They don't take very long to swap out, but I'd also love to see someone come up with a quick-change option.

If you haven't owned a 1377 before, I think you'll be really happy with it. It's lotsa fun to shoot and you can sorta tailor the power needed by pumping it up more or less. Another nice thing about it is that the rear sight blade can be flipped from an aperture peep-style that's nice to use for the shoulder stock, to a notch style which works better for the pistol configuration by loosening a screw ('course, you still have to sight it in each time you change it, but that's half the fun ;~)

Let us know when it comes in!

Got the pistol tonight, and was most displeased with it...most displeased.  Will probably sell it before a single shot is fired, unless there is a reversible safety post modification, that will keep it from fouling my trigger finger.

Sorry to hear it's not working out for you, Charles. I just did a quick search over on the Crosman forum and there is someone who replied to a request for info on making a left-handed safety function for the 1377. Here's the link:

May be more than you want to get into, but might be worth a try.
