I just have a question. I want to take the stock off my CF-X but the screw inside the trigger guard isn't a regular philips type screw,,, it appears to have some sort of star shaped indentation in the screw head. What type of screw driver/tool do I use to remove this screw as I certainly don't want to damage it? Any help would be greatly appreciated.. Thanks.

You can find them at the hardware stores or tool stores. My New CFX Royal .22 has all torqs bolts. I need to buy some ot those also..

After I made my post I went back into the basement and started looking through all my tool boxes and sure enough I found a set of the tools I need. Thanks for responding so quickly Gene, I appreciated it very much :D Only other question I have is on your CFX is the raised scope rail welded on? My CF-X has a pair of dovetail grooves cut into the receiver (like the S1k does) and the raised scope rail attaches to it exactly like an accushot 1 piece mount does, using 3 tightening screws,, ten at the back of the scope rail there is a large screw that screws down through the scope rail and into the receiver. The refurb I bought last month had the scope rail welded on but this one doesn't. Seems solid so I'm ok with it, but was wondering if other CFx's are this way or if it's something new?

Must be a new style or a very old one, what's the last digits on the SN #
My .22 CFX is an 04 _ 2004 ond the .177 is a 05 _ 2005. Both rails are welded on.

I just went and checked, the last digits are 06 so I guess I can assume this is a new style. Well, that solves that mystery, thanks for the information.
