: CFX muzzle brake...does it need to be removed before using a spring compresser?

Juuussst about ready to dissassemble my CFX .22 for an internal inspection/tune and wondered if the muzzlebrake can take the stresses of a spring compressor, or does the brake need to be removed first? The brake is the stock one...not one of Gene's beatiful babies.

It's OK to leave it on. I did it with no damage.

Didn't want to see parts flying, ruined CFX, and possible bodily injurywhile simply compressing the spring :-)
