3:30pm I loaded the Gamo Hunter.22 and headed for the grove and after a mile walk through alittle snow I reached the treeline and set to hunting. After a short spell I spot him on the game trail out ahead of me at 30yrd's but he turn's and make's a sprint down the trail and out of sight, silently I work my way up to his fresh track's in the snow and start tracking. Time passes as I climb over downed tree's and circle brush pile's all the while keeping the track's in view and alway's searching ahead for this fella. I watch the sun slowly set and know that time is running out as I make my way to a clearing and notice that the track's lead over to an old lumber pile so I drop to one knee and at 30 or so yard's away bring up the Hunter with a Predator loaded and scan the woodpile with the scope. Sure enough there he sit's just behind a board with just his head showing over the top of it. Safety off and crosshair's on the fusebox I sent the Predator away and on impact he leaped from behind the board, flipped twice and rolled to his side and expired. I got up and brushed the snow off, stepped out some yard's and to my delight arrived at 42 yrd's. The sun was gone with just alittle twilight so I shot a quick pic , checked my watch , 6:15pm and headed home with my harvest. The Predator took out his eye and exited out the other side, can't go wrong with that. Ed

That is a fine shot for sure buddy. Picture says it all ! :)
That rifle sure looks fine sitting next to it's kill. A 42 yard head shot is definitely a shot to be proud of ! :)

Fine shooting Ed, as always. Rabbit for Christmas dinner?

You cannot beat those Gamo's buddy..:) What a shot to. Got to be feeling all warm inside after you ended the bunny's life..:) One thing for sure is now you know that a Gamo Hunter or Shadow is very effective out to 40 yards or beyond with the good ammo.
Good shooting bud..:)

Thank's Peak and Gene and the Gamo Hunter is one fine shooter that I recieved from my bud Dano awhile back. It was a nice clear sunny day and a pleasent 15 deg. hehe but the sun had set before I got him with just enough light left to take em,Thank the AirGun God's cause I had no lamp on her.:) Ed

Thank's Bill, Tis the Season...for hunting hehe.Ed

When it gets that cold here, I'll just stay in the house and read about your hunts, hehe. Down here you also have 80-90% humidity to go along with the temp, so 30 feels like 15.

Hehe Mike, it's not that bad.....when the wind isn't taking the hide of you and your bundled up. Ed
-
Add the wind to high humidity, low temps and you can't put on enough clothes and still be able to shoulder a rifle for a shot. I guess I just need to get a couple pistolas, hehe.
