PDA = personal data assistant, varios models i.e., palm, zire, samsung, etc which one works best for the money easiest to use, works good, last long time, things like that. the reviews on amazon and others are mixed to the point of being useless

Doctors and nurses usually use PDA's running Windows CE as it supports Physician Reference software. In that case most Palm products are useless as they run on Palm Operating system. HP makes them pretty good, although thay can be pricey.
hope this helps

I'm a network admin at a local dairy and our truck drivers use PDA's for their daily deliveries. We use the HP iPAQ's and they seem to do a good job. They run Windows mobile and have wifi as well as bluetooth. I'm sure the pharmacology course would have some requirements on what type of PDA she would need. If the HP iPAQ fits the bill, the models hx2490 and up are good. You should be able to get one at http://www.newegg.com or even http://www.amazon.com. Hope some of that info helps =)

John,
What you need is a Pocket PC. PDA's are no more than electronic address books with little or no software compatibility to Microsoft software. Ipaq which is HP/Compaq is probably one of the best. Only critical thing is make sure whatever software you are trying to load will work with you handheld's operating software. I have an older Ipaq if you need I'll send you some pictures of it. It uses windows mobile 2002 pro. Alltel has a couple they need to be pocket pc's and not smart phones. i have one of each through sprint and the smart phone is not the same. pocketpc's have touch screens smart phones do not.......
