Thinking of trying to adapt the wood stock of the KL-3B Fast Deer to the XS-B3-1, replace the steel. Has anyone ever tried this? Any info would be welcome... Thanks...FN

Never tried it but would be a good project. The location of the forestock holes on the Fast Deer stock and the one's on the XS would be my concern. Keep us posted on what you come up with.;0 Ed

I've never tried either, but it may be easier to start from scratch. If the mounting holes don't line up they can be filled and moved, easily if your going to paint it. If you were going to stain, then plug the holes with a hardwood dowel. I would check to be sure that the inletting will work for the action. If it won't start from scratch, you can put alot of work in it trying to modify it to fit, only to wind up with a stock that won't work on either. Sounds like it could be fun tho.

I would put a set of sling eyes on the deer stock that would take care of the hole in the foward part of the stock so you wouldn't have to fill or plug it and it would look like you planed it that way. howie
