Well...yes...yes it is.
From what I've seen, if you want a bipod on a break barrel, you attach it to the barrel. This seems somewhat contradictory to me, however. The object of a bipod is increased stability and therefore increased accuracy. However, I had it in my mind that having anything touch the barrel, let alone attaching something to it, would adversely affect accuracy (hence the fact that any military rifle is free-floated). Does this principle apply only to firearms? Just speaking from personal experience here, but when I rest the barrel on a hard surface (or really, any surface at all) my shots are thrown way off.
Just in case it's important, I'm shooting the Hunter Elite, which is a droop barrel with barrel shroud.

Personally I do not think I would ever use a bipod that my barrel would rest or attach to. I am sure there are those who disagree but that is my own personal opinion..:)

If you want to use a Bipod it's best to set it up on the stock or like I did on the B3 using the cocking arm as the mount. Several of my shooter's have bipod's and they work well for me, here's the one setup on my tuned Sniper B3. Ed

Well, that's about what I thought. Hopefully this isn't too much of a noob question, but, if I were to attach a bipod to the stock, how would I do that? Seems that it would have to be pretty far back to be out of the way of the barrel and cocking arm; far enough to be behind the center of gravity...Thanks for the info

EDIT: I suppose I should ask, "whereabouts would I attach the bipod on the stock", not how. Anyway...

I would think that as long as it's back just behind the cocking slot it would be alright. Attaching it to the stock would involve a flat mounting plate on the bottom of the stock which would involve possable drilling into the stock or using a adhesive, glue, JB WELD etc.. I would be leary of Drilling into the stock myself. A question to ask yourself is it going to be permanent or setup for a quick release of sort's. As for balance that would depend on where you want it so that it would be comfortable for you, do you plan on using it as a bipod based shooter or at time's standing and shooting your airgun. Ed

As far as permanent/detachable...haven't really given it any thought. To tell the truth, if the bipod is far enough back, it wouldn't get in the way of the shooting position in the standing/kneeling/sitting posit, although it would affect the balance...which could be remedied to some degree if the bipod were of the folding forward variety...
I'll stop thinking out loud now. Again, thank you for the quick response.
