Need a little help with a chrony. I've read all about the different options they have and things they do. Has anyone bought just a basic one? If so what brand and modle? I'm looking to use it to find the best performing pellet in a particlar gun. I hope to get into tuning some cheap guns but what a chrony first.

Thanks

Depending on how much detail you are looking for an F-1 Chrony is a good tool. I use it for testing before and after lube tuning all my air guns. I figuer out the rest on paper so no need for the cadallac of chronies for me...:) A chrony is simply a tool. That is my opinion..:)

BETA CHRONEY arrived Wednesday all the way from across the pond, working ok, double boxed but only really protected on 1 side, could have wrapped it a bit better to protect it against the animals in the postal service, or at least give them a bit of a challenge  :emoticon:.  my only real gripe so far is the manual, mixed up gibberish, will have to write my own manual, it should save time in the long run :0 ,looks like the guy who writes all those self assembly guides got a job at CHRONY  :p

Shooting Chrony manuals are available on their site:

http://www.shootingchrony.com/manual_BG.htm

Also there's a guy selling a NIB Beta on the Green classifieds for $75, they retail for $90 ant Midway:

I'm buying a gun from him and he seems like a good guy - he WON'T screw you on shipping. Very responsive seller.

[edited for spelling - gotta get a new keyboard! - or a brain........]

thank you

online manual will make it a lot easier to assemble a quick, model specific manual.
