This fella was shot at close to 60 yds.Held the crosshairs right in the middle of his neck.Powerline 1000,crossman premiere hollow points..177 I hear alot of people discounting .177 caliber guns for hunting.Shot placement and practice are the key. With proper shot placement THIS .177 is POISON!

Great shooting and pic on the last post Chris and who ever say's that .177,s arn't worth hunting with might want to check Jeff's and my hunting post and album pic's .:) I agree, shot placement and pellet selection are the key and as alway's I must do my part. Again great shot and pic. Ed

Do they even make the powerline 1000 anymore? I can't find anywhere that sells them.

I see em listed on Cabelas all the time, also on AirGun Depot, as well as some other places.   They are "crude" out of the box but they certainly do throw those .177 pellets accurately and with power  :)

A .177 with accuracy is just as effective as a .22 with range as a consideration.

Like Ed and Jeff, I've taken plenty of pest animals with my .177s.  Head shots out at 40 yards on tree rats is not uncommon for me.  Plenty of punch to put em' to sleep too.

Nice shooting.

Yup Black Mamba can attest to that also and some of our other fine .177 hunter's. Ed

Our local WallyWorld was out of them for a while, but they've gotten a new batch of Poweline 1000S's in since Christmas.
