This gal is the newest addition to my harum, just got her last week from Gene of "AirGunToys" who's top's by the way. Well I spent most of Saturday up in my shooting range loft sighting her in at 25yrds, she has open sight's and the BSA 3-12X44 scope and mount's should be here this week.:) I payed alittle more but the cheaper source was out and she's worth it hehehe. Anyway after a hour of sighting in to where I was satisfied I put her away knowing that she was ready for her first hunt the next day if I do my part. Sunday morning I took another hour and double checked my sight job and still happy with it I bundled up and headed for the grove with a Predator loaded and ready. As I moved silently across the field I was feeling her heft in my hand's, no complaint's just a smile which I brushed off as I entered the grove and went into hunt mode. The Airgun God's must have been happy with my new gal for I had just settled in behiind my log blind when something caught my eye. I froze with the 1250 already layed out infront of me as I watched him move from brushpile to brushpile. Smooth and slowly I rested her on my open palm and squared him up in the sight's, finger on trigger and first stage complete With a educated gess of 20yrds or so, it's more of a feeling of yardage then anything else hehehe I sized the sight's up on his head and using his eye for a bullseye sent the Predator away. THWACK! this is THE LOUDEST impact that I've heard from a pellet as the Predator struck his skull. There wasn't a Death Dance, nothing! he just rolled to his side and expired. Darn pumped about the shot I got up and almost forgot to step off some yard's, wanted to dash over there and check out the POI and DAMAGE. So I stepped off yard's and came upon my harvest at 261/2 yards and as I looked down at em I smiled again, the Predator entered just below the lower eyelid but in the process removed the eye completly from the skull socket. I looked for it believe me hehehe but as I turned him over I inspected a slightly bigger exit, that eye was kinda vaporized I'm gessing. I was very happy with her first hunt and I was amazed at how smooth she shoot's, just a slight kick to let you know she's working that's all.:) I grabbed her first kill and headed back across the field's for home knowing that she will hunt with no problem and were getting along well on our first date lol. Nice going M8, I was wondering how long it would be before you started racking up the kills with her.

Thank's Sean, I couldn't wait for the scope and I'm not too awful with open sight's hehehe. I had to get out, been trying to finish a few tune and camo's on some other's in the shop. First hunt then tune lol. Ed

Thank's Bill, it wasn't to cold today with full sun and 25degs and .......no wind which is a plus with open sight's.:) Ed

"There wasn't a Death Dance, nothing! he just rolled to his side and expired."
is it just me or do you find air guns do a more humane job on rabbits when compared with .22 rim fires, any i shot with an air rifle just fell over, but the ones shot by my friend with the .22 RF would not stay still, even with big damage to their head.
i wont suggest that you enjoy tour new rifle, way too late for that.

Thank's Jeff, she is a POWERHOUSE! but I feel very comfortable shootin her. NEARAIR I've had a few do a breakdance or a complete flip but it's over very quickly .....FLASH DANCE! lol. Ed

I knew we would see something along side your baby today. Nice shooting too with the open sights! I feel sorry for those critters when the BSA arrives, they wont even stand a chance. Sure would like to hear the sound of the impact on a critter.

It was alittle surprizing Dan, almost a Crack! sound . I was hoping to save the skull but on further inspection while dressing him I could see splinter's of bone in the back of cavity which held his eye. The Predator passed right through leaving a trail of destruction, just what I was hoping for .:) Ed

I'm sure with that hammer there was zero death wiggle. Nice shooting looking forward to her first scoped hunt. Excellent pic and great story.

Thank's Jason, now Dad seem's to have a problem with the foxes getting after his yardbird's (chickens) again hmmm. };) Ed

Good shooting Ed! Gun looks real nice too.
Hehehe everytime I heard a "crack" or loud thump in the beginning when I started huting with the 350, I thought I hit a branch or the pellet was hitting a tree after it went through the animal. It took me a while to realize that the crack was the pellet stricking bone, and thump was the pellet hitting fur & hide.
Have you put her through the chrony yet? I 'm curious.. and it shooting smooth too.. wow, looks like you have a real winner there! Maybe no tune is required? nah.. guns can always use some tuning :)
-
Yes Harry ran her through the chrony, here's some #'s .22 cal., 10 shot's per pellet: Predator, 810fps avg., Gamo Hunter,830fps avg., Gamo MasterPoint,853, had some Daisy Pointed Hunter laying around, 857fps avg. Ed

Hey Buddy...:) Great account of the wabbit bagged by the arm buster...:) I had no doubts that that big 1250 could do the job.. After all she is a virgin to any game..:) I am really glad you are happy Ed. I know you would make a good home for her and she could really be used for what she was made for..
