I know they have a terrible reputation, but to my surprise, they actually are willing to sell parts to me. Not big parts, but so far they have sent me 2 cfx large o-rings for free, as a warranty item, and I just ordered a pivot bolt for shadow/ big cat, as I butchered mine pretty good. So maybe they're not that bad after all?

Between the CFX and the Big Cat, which gun do you think is the more accurate and which do you prefer to shoot? I may go Gamo for myself and lay the RWS to rest as the darn thing weighs too much to tote.

CFX is without a doubt the most accurate out of gamo lineup. Out of the box it has a lot of twang, torque and vibration, as most gamos. With a proper tune however this rifle can outshoot many higher price rifles. Charlie's trigger is a must of course. Downsides of CFX are its weight - heavier than most break barrels, but lighter than most underlevers or sidelevers and loading issues caused by rotary breech - so far, I've found only 1 kind of pellet I can load without use of some kind a tool. That actually varies from rifle to rifle and some members here had more luck with theirs.
Having said that abouth CFX, the BigCat is your typical gamo break barrel - quick reloads are nice. I'm still working on resolving some issues with mine, as the barrel does not lock up properly causing pretty bad vertical strings. It happened only after ~250 shots... I think BigCat's bull barrel is more prone to defects than regular steel block barrel.
To summarize, I like shooting CFX better, since BigCat is still on blocks :) If you're looking for a light break barrel, I strongly reccomend Bam B-26, maybe not as hard shooting as BigCat/Shadow, but better out of the box and a great trigger.
Hope this helps
Chris
