Well Riley had his Christmas at home last night and he had a great time. All of the family was there of course and it really was a joyful event. Ate my share of cake too.. :p .
Sherry, being the Great Granny that she is, ordered a cake and had it well decorated and had “Merry Christmas†across the top and when checking out, tried to get a discount cuz it was a Christmas cake and it would seem by all common logic to be more than a day old. It didn’t fly though... :0
What a wonder boy he is. Riley was the typical three year old boy and with the exceptional of the facial bloating, you wouldn’t have thought there was anything wrong with him. He is very intelligent, inquisitive, a great vocabulary for being only three. But then he has been confined to an adult environment almost his entire live. He and his sisters play together without any squabbling or fighting like most little brothers and sisters do.
Riley and his sisters last week went to Orlando to Disney World for three days through the “Make a Wish Foundationâ€. What a wonderful organization they are. 8)
Now that he is home, eating regular foods and getting around a lot more, he is gaining strength his back. It’s just great to see him without a bunch of tubes and wires hanging all out all over him. God willing, he just may fool the doctors and everybody. :) :)
I made a mistake a post or so back. The normal white cell count is normally between 4,500 and 10,000 and I believe I said 25,000. Riley’s count was at 47,000 at the time I believe. It has dropped back to 45,000 and every little bit counts. They have put him on a very low dose chemo treatment in hopes of extending his time just a little longer without a lot of adverse affects and it does seem to help.
Just keep little Riley in your prayers.

Thanks everybody and a special thanks to Jason and his daughter and her classmates. I was setting there last night and thinking while watching him. Maybe it might have been a good idea to bring him home a long time ago. He just seems to be so much stronger and better and full of life again and in such a short period of time. But that just might be because his little body is shedding all of those meds though. Sure is hard to second guess.
