I just got a flyer in the mail, yesterday. Cabelas is offering the Big Cat combo for $99.99 this weekend at the Kansas City store. This special may be good at other stores in your area, too.

Great bargain Brian. I did notice that the description for the Gamo 440 said it came with synthetic stock..???? Last time I saw an 890 in person it had a nice wood stock. Any comments?  Or maybe a misprint..:)

On the Cabelas website, they also show the Gamo Varmint Hunter with the laser/light/scope combo, refurbished for $119. That's a better deal than I've seen when I was looking at them a few months ago:

I'm sure that is a copy & paste error by whoever developed the web page. The product description "It also has a walnut-stained Monte Carlo hardwood stock with cheekpiece and recoil pad. "

I ordered a 890 so I'll post if it comes with something other than wood.

Thanks Bryan and I am sure that is what the case was. The 890 is about the only adult air rifle that I do not own..:) I know Jeff has one but never mentions it much. But they do look nice and I hope yours is in great shape when you get it. Will be looking forward to your take on it.
