Hey, Today i finally recieved my gas rammed whisper and i have to say,,,,, I am impressed!!! It took a little bit to get the scope zero'd but right out of the box she shot consistantly, consistanly off target, I probably moved the windage control on the scope 50 clicks. But now she is consistantly on the bulls eye!!!! It has some power also. I got one of those resetable target traps by Gamo where you shoot 4 targets and they stay up then hit the middle one that releases the others. Well I hit one of those so hard dead center that the pellet
flattened and stuck to it!!!! This thing definately has power. I shot my brothers spring whisper yesterday and liked that also, but i think
this one is a bit smoother. He has the GRT trigger in his and this is just the stock trigger. I dont know if they do anything to the trigger
when they instal the ram but I guess i got used to it. I didnt notice the difference. But then I am not a seasoned shooter so what do i know!!!
Anyway at the end of the day, I like this gun!!!!!!!!!!! :)

Congratulations Sonny,
Nothing better than being happy with your new airgun!
If you have a chronograph, let us all know what velocities your new Whisper is shooting. And what your impressions of her are .
Let us know !

did you ever ask if they will sell the gas ram by itself? i might just want try it out if a spring is to break in one the gamos.
-
I think i read that the only way to have the gas ram is to have pyramid install it They also provide a warranty period.

From what I've read and heard the gasram's in the Gamo's are smoother etc. but were putting out lower fps. then a springer. Ed

After spending the day shooting with my brother and his being the springer to my gas ram, there is A bunch of difference in the cocking effort with the springer seemingly taking about half the effort to cock. I have no clue as to the velocity, I sure am curious. We were shooting at a target of just over 100 yard and seemingly both of us were hitting the same area in the same amount of time for us to hear it hit the paper so without the cron test its hard to say if there was a velocity differnce. Also my brothers GTR trigger was night and day difference. After shooting mine, i just touched the trigger on his and fired!!

Well I just ordered a new scope. Centerpoint 3940AORG. I sure hate the one that came with it. Maybe it's my old eyes but the parallax issue was just too much for me. I enjoy shootin with ya bro. :emoticon:

Yeah, the ol' eyes sure ain't like they used to be for me either. Let us know how you like the scope when you get it mounted and shoot with it. I don't have any Centerpoints but I do have a couple of Leapers, which is the company that makes some, if not all, Centerpoint scopes for Crosman. I really like them.
By the way, a big WELCOME to both of the Hadden brothers! There's nothing like having a sibling with similar interests to hang out with and get into (and hopefully, out of ;~) trouble. I've started taking an airgun or two with me when visiting my bro' and his family. We shoot off of his back deck at targets or squirrels when they encroach into forbidden territory.
Glad you both found the GTA.

Thanks Bryan!! Yeah, we live across the state from one another so it makes it extra special to be able to get together and shoot the %^&t and the airguns!!
