Today Roger Daely who lives south of me called me and told me that in Columbia S.C., Sportsman's Warehouse Sporting Goods is liquidating all air gun stock. This weekend they are giving an extra 10% off on top of the already low prices of all air guns. They will not be selling them any more. Pricing is fantastic. RWS 350 for $238.00 and many other models are selling at rediculously low prices..:) I even bought myself a Brand New BSA Lightning XL .177 for under $340.00. They had duplicates in .177 and .22 in most all there in house stock.
Hope someone else can take advantage of the great deal. I also want to thank Roger Daely for the tip off.

Congratulations buddy,
We will expect a full review, when you get some time. ;)
Now you and Stephanie can have a shoot off, dueling Lightnings. lol
We have them around here, but they haven't sold airguns in 10 years, I bought my Gamo 890 there when they had them on going out of airguns sale..

Im not a fan of that store, bad country music, ingnorent wannabe cowboys from hicks. If you dont buy anything its like there watching lol. It would be ok if they played willie nelson or something. There deals are good but is it worth it? RWS 350 $279 .177 no

My local Sportsman's Warehouse closed January 31... A sad day for me, since they were my sole supplier of pellets and anything else that was quality for outdoors. What really topped it off was that I was a regular customer and I didn't find out until about 2 weeks later. We still have one other in town, but it is about a 40 minute drive for me. Other than Wally World which I hate in this area...we have Academy Sports. They only dedicate about a third of their store to Hunting/Fishing/Camping...the rest is sporting goods like Dick's, except mediocre quality. We have a Bass Pro Shops here, I need to see what they have for air guns...I haven't stepped foot in there yet.

Josh, last time I went to SW their pellet selection was slim. I dont know if it had anything about the other store closing or not, but they did say they were not closing. only time will tell. Someone told me about the Dick's store opening up and soon maybe a GanderMountain. Bass Pro kinda sucks for pellets, last itme there only Gamo and a few RWS.
-
Buster,
You are right about the selection, it was slim even on a good day. They had a decent selection of Beeman pellets and not much else. Either way they had more to choose from compared to Academy. Fortunately, Crosman/Benjamin Diablos work decent in my guns which Academy stocks by the case.
BTW I liked the comment someone made about the crappy Country music piped through Sportsman's Warehouse... Here in Texas I have pretty much learned to tune out that stuff, its almost like elevator music here : p

is that just there where you are at? there is one here in rocklin california. i live in sacramento. i'm only 30 miles away from there but taking the always-traffic jammed interstate 80 takes an hour to get there. they have a what-the-heck-is-this bullsh*t website only. it don't help me non looking for products. if its a nation wide thing then i'll go give it a look.
really, still kinda mad at them for signing me up on a wish list for a 22cal. rws 34 panther. at that time it was onsale for $165, two years passed. finally, i get a call from them and was told, "we have it in but due to the sale being over the price has changed." ya think?

I do not know if it is a nationwide closure of air guns but for sure here in SC, the store in Columbia is liquidating air guns. I drove 100 miles to buy my BSA..:)

What's their website?
-
Joseph, it doesn't appear that they do web-based sales unfortunately. They have a website:
http://www.sportsmanswarehouse.com
but it looks like it's mostly useful for finding out where their retail stores are located.
A shame, in my opinion, since the nearest one is 2 hours away.
