As a newbie here I can't help but do something so out-of-charatcer for me, stand out for a minute long enough to, "Put the spot light on someone else here?" I'm sure the veterans to this place take what Bob/CDT does for granted but I can't do that just yet. Bob has chimed in with his opinions and wisdom to a number of my questions here. He supplied me with one of the best improvements, a GRTIII, for my latest acquisition, a Gamo Whisper, but even moreso, he gave me the knowledge I needed to repair a Gamo. He could have simply wrote back, "Send it to me and I'll fix it for $XXX." Nope.... he sent me the info I asked for and even asked to let him know how things turned out. Members and people such as Bob are few and far apart. Long after I'm gone off to my next hobby I'm sure Bob will still be around supporting the people of the place.
My hat's off to you Bob. You've gained a friend in Bama for sure.
Now where's my GRTIII I ordered last night? LOL

You're right, I think we do take Bob for granted. So here's another hat being tipped in your direction, Bob, and a thank you for all you've done and continue to do. Later.

PS Hey, Bob, do you suppose we should include Gene in this little tribute, or do you want all the glory for yourself :-)? Anyway, a thanks to Gene too.

Yeah, not to forget what I believe to be one of GTA's founding fathers, Gene. I was just wanting to point out Bob is willing to help newbies just the same as the veterans here.
Words of wisdom... if you ever stray and start taking things for granted, have someone remind you where you came from. Life is a long journey and often we tend to forget where wel started from. But some of us such as myself, wake up in a new world each day and have to figure it out all over again. LOL

I couldn't agree anymore, you said it perfect. I had the priviledge of Bob's hands on work to my Panther....I am also a newbie and appreciate such veterans as Gene, Bob(Charlie) Big Bill and those of you who keep me glued to this forum with your knowledge.......Gene, I want to buy a new gun-I need help, HE HE HE.

It's really funny though. Years ago pro tuners wouldn't share hardly any information at all (and most don't now) and it took me a long time to get out of the gates due to lack of info. It was for that reason that I initially started my website, just to provide info that was almost impossible to find. As I was able to glean information, I passed it on to others. Viewing it as a hobby, I felt that most info should be shared and that's what I did then and do now and always will do. Finally, once the barrier was broken down, more info started to flow. Sadly, a few put me in the catagory of a traitor and was destroying their business and that certainly wasn't the intent. And by doing so, I in turn myself lost sales but that was ok. I of course don't share all of my "trade" secrets on the internet and forums but I do sometimes share on a one on one basis. :p
But anyhow, thanks all...much appreciated. :) :) :)

Well guys, I do not have to tip my hat to da tuna...:) I left it over in his shop the other day and i guess by now Fritz has converted it into something more appropriate to his liking.. hehe. Well the kidding aside I second everything that has been said about the tuna man..:)

I will personally attest that Bob is good people from my own personal experience. My story is long and boring, but the point is that he has business ethics. He will be the only one that will work on my airguns... Period. Thanks again Bob.

Here...here...Even though I've only been on this forum a short while now I second, third, & fourth what everyone has said already! Long story short, I first contacted Bob (via e-mail) about two months ago for tune info. and he didn't hesitate to give me his phone # so that he could better answer the many newb questions that I had. He was very forthcoming w/info. and when I finally pulled the trigger for a complete tune, he completed the work and had it back to me in only a matter of days. I too will only send my babies to Bob for 'tunes' in the future. Thanx again Bob!

well I hope one more won't swell bob's head too much more but my hat is off to you as well. I first found this forum while searching the web for some information about a shadow I had bought and everyone here as well as bob and his service, products and knowledge have been great so thanks

Believe me when I say that other member's myself included take great pride in having Bob and Gene as I like to put it "The Keystone's" of this forum. :) I consider GTA the flagship of Airgun Forum's and what Bob and Gene bring to this forum is priceless and that include's their friendship. :) Now grab a oar and start paddling hehehe, WHAT A GREAT PLACE TO BE!. :) Ed

Gosh, Joe,
I don't believe that I belong in this list of extremely knowledgeable men. Everything that I know about airguns, other than shootin them, I have learned from Bob, Gene and all the members of the GTA Forums !
And as I have said before, We All owe Bob and Gene a great deal of thanks for making the GTA what it is, and for all the knowledge that they have passed on to us ! And that's why the GTA IS A GREAT PLACE TO BE !!!!
