Hey Robert ... your mail keeps bouncing back.....

Anyhow, it sounds like the screw in the trigger guard is still inside the lug itself and that the lug has unscrewed from the action. That does happen sometimes when LocTite is used at the factory. Be sure that the screw that you remove is the rear trigger screw behind the trigger. The front one just goes into the wood. You may need to put a some pressure between the stock and the action while turning the screw to remove it. Then it's just a matter of working it out and it can be a bear to remove sometimes. The lug may not want back out of the trigger locking tab very easily.

Once you get it out, take a pair of vise grips and while holding the lug on the inside of the stock by the threads (be careful not to damage the threads) , unscrew the screw. Then screw the lug back through the trigger locking tab and into the action making sure that it is tight before reinstalling the stock. Be sure that the tab is in place under the rear of the trigger when installing and tightening the lug.
