Yep, It's the WTC Mildot 6.5x20x50. One of the clearest brightest scopes for the money I've looked through . I keep asking others about ranging abilities of their higher powered and higher costs scopes and they have the same problems sometimes that I do with these . And that is ranging between 45-50 yards . If I take my time and check , look away ten recheck ; it gets pretty close most of the time. I just can't see paying $500 or more for a scope that's not going to perform any better than the one I have . I'm not sure it could help my scores much. My ability to hold on targets would be a more important factor at this time. Gene , I'll skid her in a soft case and try to park around toward the back and let you check her out if the coast is clear . LOL If you know what I mean . hehe . Pulling any kind of rifle out of a case can get you in trouble in a lot of places . Stephanie , I enjoyed shooting my springers , but I love shooting my PCP's . The dark side is very attractive ........... BEWARE !! LOL kirby :D

Feel the force Luke. The dark side is evil. But dad I want it!!!!!! Very nice Kirby. :o

That is a sweet gun. I just received my AA S410 last Friday. These are beautiful guns, not to mention accurate. I was able to get some really great groups out to 60 yards (that was the farthest I tried), which I wasn't able to do with my CFX. How many shots can you get with the carbine? I get around 30 when filled to 2900 psi and set to full power. Anyways, excellent choice.

Congrats on your 410 ; they are sweet . You need to post us a picture . I filled mine today to around 160-165 bar . I need to get my tank topped off ; That's all the pressure I could get . Shooting JSB 8.4's ; I got 53 shots that ranged from a low of 795fps to 820 fps and then the speed started to drop pretty quick with each shot. My other carbine I usually fill to 190 bar and will get 65-70 shots . kirby
-
Wow, that's more than I expected with the carbine b/c of it's smaller tank. I was told 30-40 shots at high power with my 410. Does that sound right? I dont have a chrony so I haven't been able to really find out. I mostly shoot CP's @ 14.4 grains.

You can move this to the PCP forum if you'd like. I guess I should have put it there first. thanks kirby
-
Your's is a .22 cal. fac model . Mine are 12 fpe models , that's why they get more shots. kirby
-
What's the difference between fac and fpe?
-
fac ( firearms certificate) comes from the regulation in British Isles, that keeps airguns shooting at under 12 foot pounds of energy (fpe)at the muzzle, hence, fpe = measurement of energy. An fac-rated airgun is non -regulated in fpe, but requires a special permit to own one there, much like the firearms tax stamp here in the US for automatic weapons and MuzzleBrakes(sorry).

Beautiful piece there Kirby! Looks like a great shot count, too. Enjoy!

Very informative. Does that mean we are required to have a certificate or liscense here in the states?
-
Kirby, thread moved at your request, Stephanie

Thanks , Stephanie . kirby

Muzzlebrakes are not regulated in the united states - they do not reduce the sound of the rifle, but s ilenc ers/noise reducers/ that can be attached to a firearm (powder burner) are VERY much so, along with automatic weapons. These both require special permits from the Federal Gov't ATF bureau and background check by the FBI and usually a couple thousand $ fee, along with a nominal renewal fee and being subject to periodic re-checks for criminal activity by FBI.
Airguns are not regulated in the United States, though the more powerful they become, we may unfortunately see a change in this policy. If a noise reducing device like that on the Whisper model air rifle is
built into the product and not designed to be removable then it technically falls outside the purview of the Federal Gov't. If one were to try to build or modify such a device for fitment or potential attachment
to a firearm, that is another story altogether and would be highly illegal, unless one was already licensed to do so by the Government. Heavy fines and felony indictments await those who would ignore these laws and got caught.
-
No , thank goodness . We take for granted what we have , that others don't . No federal restrictions on airgun power yet. Some states do , mostly caliber restrictions on pistols . Some treat a .22 caliber air pistol as a firearm . Others treat all airguns as firearms . kirby

Lovely looking rifle Kirby. I do like the AA range.
Have fun,

The checkered Monte Carlo rifle stock is a classic beauty.. the scope sits impressively on the gun for your marksmanship pleasure....the "tube formed shooting rest" appears to be very versatile, like one-size softly pads and steadies any fine air rifle (your AA) or every day shooter.
I've a "shop topic" question and may need moving to THE SHOP forum. Is the "tube type" shooting rest factory supply or did you fabricate it? Does it have adjustments or are the foam sleeves and the shooters touch used to keep the cross hairs on the bulls eye and follow through?
Great pics and you can admire (like us all) and enjoy the acquisition.
-
First of all, thanks for the compliments. The "shooting rest " you are referring to is just a carrier used on a field target course to carry the gun safely between lanes and to have a safe place to put the rifle when not shooting . It can also hold ant items needed for a match ......pellets , knee pads , score card , etc. I did fabricate it out of some scrap aluminum I had laying around the garage . It's not adjustable and the foam just cushions the ride . Thanks , kirby
-
Hey Kirby, thanks for setting me straight on the foam padded, fabricated do-dad! After second, third looks shooting off it does look restrictive.
-
When are you selling it, I'll have another birthday next year:):):):):):):):)
-
Kirby,
That's a nice shooting piece you have there.......I especially like the Rosewood?? schnabel tip and pistol grip cap. It looks at home in the "woods" in your photos.
I was chrony'ing a club mate's .22 AAS410 Classic today for him to get an average, and they really are nice. Quite powerful in the FAC mode, even if the FAC model is hard to cock. FAC only get 30 shots useable.....info discovered for him: 28.1 ft/lbs, 16gr pellet, 891.1 avg vel.
You are on to a winner there, so enjoy it..........

Man! you sure have an eye for good looking wood.... :)
