Doesn't appear to have an adjustable objective, I would suspect it wont focus well at close range.  Probably paralaxed for 100 yards, so you might get crosshair shifts up close.  I had a Simmons real similar to this one for awhile, maybe even the same model...have to look, think I may still have it:)  Never know though, might be a good one too...for $28 could be worth a shot (pun intended)!

Cant tell if it's a one piece body or not but if it isn't you can make it's objective adjustable provided the end bell unscrews. If not I've found most standard 100 yd. scopes do pretty well down to 30 yds or so.

So far im impressed with this scope even though its not Ao.
