Kinda breezy and chilly this morning , but I had to find out what she was shooting. LOL . Temp Low 40's ....starting fill pressure 2000psi. I wanted to start with close to the recommended fill pressure and chart the shots to find the sweet spot. My target was to find the best starting fill pressure to get 40 shots at approx. 12fpe . My first shot went 719.2fps . As quiet as this rifle is shooting with the spring change I actually thought it was shooting a lot less than that. A nice surprise. I chart in twenty shot spreads and toss out the lowest (usually a tight pellet) and the highest (usually a loose pellet ) For my first 20 shots , It had a low of 716.8fps and a high of 757.4fps. for an extreme spread of around 40fps . This would be good for indoors or a super quiet fill for a neighborhood friendly rifle . Fill to 2000psi and shoot down to 1750psi , then refill . The next 20 shots had a low of 764.6fps and a high of 807.3fps for an extreme spread of again a little over 40fps but, it got near my target range of 12fpe. I might add the higher the speed, the louder it got but was never, throughout my shooting too loud for my backyard and had at least half the pop it had at full power with the factory spring. Ending pressure for this group was around 1300psi. The next 20 shots had a low of 811.3fps and a high of 846.5fps for an ES of around 35 fps (a little more consistent) I went ahead and shot the rifle until the speed started to drop below the start of the last 20 shot group. I got 15 more shots with a low of 815.2fps and a high a high of 845.4fps. I think I found my sweet spot; although it's only 35 shots at approx. 12.8fpe (avg.) That's with a fill pressure of 1300psi and shooting down to around 800psi . As far as accuracy ; I started sighting in with CPL's and was getting fliers everywhere, I was worried I might have gotten a barrel with a bad crown, I switched to JSB 8.4g. and the groups became coverleafs at 18-19 yards, which is where my picnic table bench is from my target . This is without trying too hard for groups . My main concern was getting sighted in, to set up the chrony. Crosman barrel are not choked and I'm sure they haven't been lapped ( we're talking entry level here; hehe) so I'll need to give the rifle a little breakin period before worrying about an occasional flier . I've found the Lothar Walther barrels on my AirArms usually take 3-400 pellets through them before they shoot their best. I'm a little happier today with my Disco. I hope this helps some of you that were considering one. kirby

Thanks Jeff, Peak, and Bill. I have another surprise coming in hopefully 3-4 weeks with my Disco. I don't like the factory stock much . Too plain , It had to have been finished on a belt sander for quick production. There's not a sharp edge on the stock. It has more smooth rounded edges than Marilyn Monroe had. LOL . Anyways , I've been talking up a deal to get a laminated thumbhole stock inletted for the Disco and the prospects are looking pretty good right now. More info later .kirby
