She sure is purdy Kirby, who`s the maker?Looks alot like 1 for a Bam posted awhile back, are these availible???
-
Geeze that's pretty Kirby. :)

Beautiful shooter Dave. Is that stock made by the same guy that JohnB had pictures of the BAM stock? I am thinking I feel a new stock coming on for my new BigEd B51 when it gets here, but think I will carve my own...with a little help of my friend:)
Oh yea, does it feel as good as it looks? To me looks are nothing without feel. I like the upright thumb area with optional thumbhole setup, I had a stock like that and it was real nice for different kinds of shooting. The upright thumb felt better on a bench, whereas the thumbhole felt better for general offhand shooting and plinking. Does that knee riser slide?
-
Thanks Peak and Guys; Barry and Dano , yes it was made by the same guy who made the Purpleheart Bam stock for JohnB . And Dano , the knee rest slide in an Anschutz rail ; and it fits me like a glove . I love the balance , the grip and the dual thumbhole. I can actually shoot off my knee know instead of an improvised kneepad on my arm stacked on top of my knee. I like it a lot already. kirby

Sounds like a well engineered piece of furniture. Some people don't realize that there is much more work in making a stock fit than there is in making it look good, sounds like your furniture maker has his chickens in one coup!

Crap!!! Kirby that baby is sweet. The dark side never looked sooo good. Beautiful.

That looks pretty darn nice indeed and it sounds like you like it. He really goes out of his way to make sure they balance and fit, Tammy is gettin an AA410 stock short enough to suit her and no doubt it will be balanced for shooting too (no need for wall-hangers). I've really gotten spoiled by the Purple Ban stock, at the last match untill it was called for hail I was shooting my best score ever and the stock was the only change.
Thought I would post a pic of our grip area,

You're making my "Envy Meter" go full tilt John. I decided to give the BAM PCP's another shot and have a tuned one coming from Big Ed, might need to find a stock to go with it:)
-
All I can say is WOW, David. That is a beauty and as usual your tastes out match your good looks..:) So that is a Steve C. stock? Boy he does some very classy work and well engineered as well. You have just about teased me to death now with your AA400 David. First look was at the BBQ house in Atlanta and now with this. You sure know how to make a guy or gal envious..:) I am that close to taking another step into the Dark Side thanks to you David.. Been checking around and it seems everyone is out of the model of AA 410 that I am looking for..:( and I do not want to settle for anything less than what I truly want..:) Gene

I don't blame you Gene, Hold off until someone gets one in; That'll give you a chance to come to our match in April and try out one of my Carbines . That way you can try before you buy. My new stock was made by John B's friend , Brian , who made the purpleheart Bam stock for John . And you are right , it is a classy piece of work. kirby

I emailed him last night, anticipation is killing me:) I'm sure it'll be worth the wait though, so I will just have to wait:(
-
BOTH mine were...waitin suxx...

I'm just an impatient shopper by nature. I think that is pretty obvious by how many guns I have bought and sold over the last few years. I can spend hours carving a toothpic "just right", but when it comes to buying toys I start shopping when I even "think" I may have money coming in:) From what I have seen on the forums from other guys Big Ed's turnaround time is pretty quick, and the work done is worth the wait, so I will just have to wait.
Wouldn't it be cool to have an airgun shop that not only stocked great products, but also would do "tunes as you wait"? I think I may be onto something here:)
How did you have your guns set up btw? I asked for high shot count .177 shooting heavies in the 850-900fps range with a low fill pressure.
-
.22 @ 950 with 14.3,I know it`s atleast 30 shots(never really counted,.177,10.6@900 and it`s a ton of shots,I fill both to 150 bar...it`ll b worth the wait,I had my .22 maybe a week and a half then started scroungin to but the .177.Now I`m impatiently waitin on shrouds and breech risers and new shroud bands...will it ever end???
-
Almost got the riser, band and shroud. Finally decided to save my duckets and add that later if'n I can't live without it. I had a B50 for a short time and I didn't find it incredably loud, especially with the McMaster spring installed. I think my HPA QB is louder actually...and of course the Career 707 is a ear popper at high power:) Thanks for talking to me Barry, just talking about my airgun addiction helps me relax:) Now where's my gun, where, where, where????????????????????
-
OOPPSS,make that 850 on the .22,knew that didn`t look right!
