I just recieved my beautiful airgun today. I don't have a scope for it yet and have not really shot at a target yet but all I could say right now is that the gun shoots very strong. I am shooting benjamin sheridan cylindrical 5mm 14.3gr pellets. Just as soon as I could get some target shooting in I will try to upload some pictures for everyone.

Yes indeed! Pictures for everybody!! Congrats on the new shooter. I imagine you'll really enjoy it.

good stuff
are those the solid bullet type rounds you are using, if so it must be hard to to get those to stop compared with a standard pellet ,your backstop must be ripped to pieces already
keep your elbow in front of the side lever when you are loading and don't forget to release the anti bear trap ratchet thats if you hold it down during cocking action to avoid the noise
enjoy

remember when cocking to cover your belt buckle or zip on a jacket or you will end up with stippling on your stock where you dont want it
hope i am not too late, its been a while since i discovered that, was about to f a friend out of it until i discovered i was doing it
:o

Congrats on the 48!
Wow, how did you manage to get a .20cal 48? Those are rare!! It's used right? They only made the .20 for about a year or 2 and even then it wasn't a constant stream of imported .20's coming in. That was a few years ago. I think 2003 was the last time Umarex had a small batch of .20cal's in but most of them were sold in the late '90's I believe. I also think they imported some in '01 as well. What is the date on your 48? You 'll see it stamped on the action with very small fine letter/numbers. It should have the month and year only. Thanks

i bought it new from a person on gunbroker that had two of them. As far as the date goes, if I am looking in the right spot theirs the numbers 11 03, so I guess that is November 2003.

Sounds like a nice gun. This is one you you will want to keep. I've seen a couple over the past year and toyed with getting one. Good luck let me know if you still need help posting the pics. You can email them to me the pics and I'll post them of edit them and email them back to you. :)
