With a sad hunting heart I went to post my possum pic's but due to my un-nimble finger's at time's deleted them grrrrrrrrr BUT! after work today I recieved a call for help. My buddy buzzed me and said that he had something chewing it's way into his attic and is there anything that I can do. Without a moment to waste I grabbed my newest baby, the B26.177 Sporter that I recieved from my close Airbud Gene. She's tuned, smooth and with a freshly mounted Golden Antler very accurate. I arrived at my buddies spread and checked out the damage to his house, a nice round chewed out hole in the attic area but no sign of the intruder. I told him to head up to the attic from inside and maby scare something out the hole and I would rest myself on the woodpile locked and loaded about 20yard's out. A minute or so later gess what pop's out of the hole and jump's down onto the roof, a nutter. Laying back against the woodpile I pull her up, pop the safety off and rest the crosshair's on his mug but he does a slight turn on me which gave a funky front shot. Ok let's put the Predator in at a angle and I sent it away which was followed by the sound of a nice solid impact and the nutter dropping to his side and rolling off the roof to his final resting spot. About that time my buddy appear's from the house and asked if I got it, I'll send you my bill I replied lol. The Predator entered just below his ear and blew out of his front right shoulder and as we checked him out my buddy replied "a pellet did all that damage"?, if your gonna drop em drop em quick hehehe. He doesn't eat them but wanted to know how the were cleaned so I set up for pic for my hunting buddies here and schooled him on squirrel cleaning. My first nutter here in my new hunting ground's which I took to stop his destructive attack on a friend's homestead, feel's good to pick up were I left off though.:) Ed

Nice work! Chewed up his last house. Good strategy to get the villain.

I also ended up putting the Golden Antler on my B26 .22. Very appropriate choice for that rifle, I think; keeps the weight and balance just right.

Thank's Dave's  after the move here I got keep the rust off me and stay sharp hehehe . My bud also explained that most the folk's on his end of the land out here were having extreme problem's with the nutter's and G-hog's under their shop's. Now I'm really looking foward to those G-hog's and will help with pest control as best I can. };) Ed

Glad to see you back at it Ed. That's the way I like seeing the pests most, dead as a door nail after they have been damaging property.

Way to get that distructive nutter Ed!  Nice pic too of course with that beautiful B26 showing off  :-)

What happened with the possum?  You went to post it with a saddened heart?  Didn't go as you expected?  Large possums can be very resilient to pellets.. but you probably know that.  They all need to be hit just right, like groundhogs.  I saw a groundhog get hit with a 30-06 on youtube a couple of days ago and he went down.  He wasn't moving and looked dead as a door nail.  3-4secs later he wakes up and starts walking away!  He made it down the hole and they lost him!  It looked like he was cut in half as he was hit and went down!  That's how strong some of these critters can be.

Thank's Peak, Jeff and Harry, Harry my batteries went south after I took a couple possum's out back of my place, the 1250.22 rocked em both and I was so pleased. So I grab the digcam, shoot some nice pic's and put it away for the day. Plugged it in the port the next day, turned it on....NOTHING! I thought the memory card was supposed to store em so I change the batteries and all I got was a black screen on my camra saying no image..........the word's that followed I cannot repeat here but we've all been there.:( I asked the wife if she deleated anything from the camera and I all I got was "I can't remember" but there were some from our move to Michigan and she deleated them. Sound's fishy but what can you do hehehe, just love em. The way thier running loose around here I should be able to drop some more to keep em out of the garbage can's.:) Ed

Yep, the pics don't get lost when your batteries die.  They are stored on the card permenantly.

That's why I have my own camera and the wife her's.  If my wife ever got hold of mine she 'd delete everything because ALL it has on it is dead animals and birds on it!  :)  Pretty sad really that I don't take pics of anything else :(

Thank's Dave and getting started is the key word here hehehe. I was informed yesterday that the fella down the street has some G-HOGS homesteading under his shed but everyone here calls em Whistle Pig's hehehe, we'll see how they whistle when the 1250 rock's em with a Predator and I'll get to post some G-HOG pic's with Jeff.:) Ed
