Ten yards open sights. One of many I hope.

Dave, you are so lucky to even have squirrels much the more to get a shot in April. Here in Tennessee our squirrel population has took a nosedive due to last years late april freeze which wiped out the oak,and hickory mast crop. On top of that we had the worst drought and severe heat wave in my lifetime. I haven't seen a squirrel since early september here. All fall in the deer woods and so far this spring in the turkey woods the hardwood lots are void, void void of squirrels. Squirrels are pretty rare here now except for isolated pockets. When I do start seeing them again as the population recovers I'll probably have to pass 'em by until they get numerous. Hope I won't have to wait too long as I am a big fan of fried squirrel, gravy and biscuits. Good shootin with that new Talon though.I have one due any day now and look forward to whacking something with it. What pellet did you use? Looks like it worked just fine as that squirrel in your pic looks dead as fried chicken.

Just used a standard crossman permiere. I'm not that far from you I'm in the Arkansas ozarks and we've had some weather this year, floods, tornadoes, and 18" of snow. Yesterdays high was 37 and it's already 65 today at noon.

Dave I've heard all about the weather in Arkansas as I have some family in Searcy. I guess boat sales are going good for people who live in the bottoms.

Nice shootin Dave, keep at em and we look forward to more hunt's from you. Ed

Good shooting! I always wanted to get a purple squirrel :-) Just kidding..
Man you guys are making it difficult for me.. There are several squirrels on my property every day, but small-game season is over and I 'm trying to be good and do the right thing and wait until September, but I don't know if I can hold out that long with all of you posting squirrel kills :-)

nice shooting right there and that sure is a nice looking gun!
