Saw this site. Very low prices..as in super low prices! The only catch is (if you consider it a catch), is you have to buy a minimum of $100.
But with such low prices, you can buy a lot of airguns and items with the hundred bucks minimum!
I don't actually know if any of this is true or if any of the members of GTA has seen this site or ordered from this site.
Pretty tempting if you guys ask me!

WOW Gerry,
Do you need to join this place ? It's a candy store for Big Boys :)
I can waste,,,,no, no, no, invest $100.00 here without any problems :)

Take about feeding the airgun addiction oh that reminds me I'm late for tonights AA meeting.:) Ed

Things certainly appear cheap there. It seems you have to be a dealer, and become a member there also. The only thing bothering me is that conservative thought buzzing around in the back of my head ... "When prices LOOK too good to be true, they probably ARE too good TO BE TRUE." But it would be great to hear feedback from someone who has actually bought from this place.
-
Yep! My thoughts exactly..that I also want to hear from sombody who actually bought from this place.
Signing-up to be a dealer is actually no problem if you are only required to buy P100 minimum 'coz after you ahd your fill, you can stop ordering.
The only problem is if they get you into a contract like you have to order every so-so number of months?
I guess I have to go wait see until the time I really am itchin to buy a lot of these fine airguns.
I thinks they sell all brands and not only the chinese ones.
-
Has anyone ever dealt with that dealer before???? Sounds to good to be true.....
I guess I just can't help but be skeptical (I am from NY)

I've never heard of them before, but a QB-362 for $55, is tempting. They also list the Gamo 220 in .22.
Mike
-
I've explored that site a bit also, and have found that you can only put items in a cart from the page that has about a dozen or so items priced. The Gamo 220 and the Gamo Hunter 1250, etc. prices are on pages that you have to log on. To log on, you have to register. To register, you have to give a retail license #.
It is tempting to give this Self Defense Supply outfit a try. A QB36-2 for $55, a couple B3's one in .177 & .22 for $19 each and a QS35 pistol for $20 totals $115 + S&H. of about $16. I was able to put the aforementioned priced items in a cart & proceed to checkout where all required blocks were filled in except card #.
On the other hand, I have seen some posts (don't recall the forum or details) of negative feedback regarding SDS.
I would like to have more info about them.

I think I'm going to have some fun with this site. Seeing as I only have one rifle right now and want many more (even ones that aren't so great) this place seems like Heaven to me. I might order a blowgun just to mess around with it. For only $2.50 I have nothing to lose.
-
Good thinking! But I guess, as they said, you have to have a minimum order of $100.
It is really quite tempting!
Actually, what they are doing is nothing new. They are actually trying to sell in-bulk ($100)..so, they get the profits from the small change they make from the bulk items that they sell, translating to a large profit in fact.
This is what walmart does, sell things for a small price but in large bulks. You get more customers this way and they keep coming back because of the low prices..although, you have to spend $100 every time you have to deal with them.
Good luck to all those who want to test this site and please..please.. do give us your feedback.

Well....
Let's go back a few years in technology. These folks are located in Richardson, TX and have a phone number (972-644-6800). Has anyone considered calling them and asking questions???
Ron (stating the obvious)

they have two companies one is south summit and the dealer one is called self defense, same place .They seem like good people and ship pretty fast , two days or less .The down side is minium order, freight averages 9 dollar per gun to me in south dakota ,problems you pay the return freight . thanks pelletman
-
Pelletman:
You are right! South Summit & SDS have the same 1819 Firman Dr. street address and same #101 suite in Richardson, Texas.
I've bought several times from South Summit but did not notice the address was the same. You have a good eye for detail.
Thank You, I'm not so leery of them now.
Mike
-
So,that is why south summit also offers low prices!
Yep! Very good to deal with south summit.
Made tweo orders from them and they ship very fast!
-
The prices are a little bit lower on Rexdist.com (I've ordered knives and wallets and such before from them, and shipping was quick, no catch besides a $100 minimum). I think they both carry the same stuff. It's been years since I purchased from rexdist.com and I'm REALLY not trying to threadcrap here, but I figured you guys might like to know that there is another site out there that offers the same air rifles (I think). I posted in China Gate asking for more info on those particular air rifles by the way. :-)
Oh, and the pellets are about 1/2-1/3 the cost on rexdist.com and are also sold by the box of 10 200 pellet tins.
-
SirNomad, do you have a retail license # that you used with Rexdist?
Can a retail number be used by anyone?
I called the company and told them I wanted to order a few of the airguns, but he was suprised I only wanted a few, then figured out I was a consumer, not retailer and said I would need to provide a retail license number.
-
.
-
I`ve also heard tell of shaky buss. with them.......just my .02!
-
I actually DO have a license, since I don't live within a city limits I only needed to spring $10 for one from the state. You just have to send in your monthly sales tax report every month (even if you sold nothing). It's a fairly minor inconvenience, and it took me only a few minutes to get the license. I'm not sure what all the intricacies are, but since, to date, nothing I've purchased for resale was sold to anyone in this state, I haven't had to cough up any sales tax. I told the truth when I got my little retail license, that I planned to sell things on eBay (and at local swap meets if I ever had the time, I haven't yet) and would need a license in order to purchase wholesale. I've never had issues with rex distribution not taking my orders, but it's been a few years since I placed one.
-
Hi, I ordered nine B3-1s from them just two weeks ago and the sales person said nothing about a license.
But, my order was over $100.00. Received the rifles in four days and all of them are shooters.

Thanks for the welcome Big Bill. I only have one left, my neighbors and co-workers had the others gone before I could even clean them.
Picked up a Ruger Air Hawk and have my eye on a B-26, I guess it will never stop now.
-
I bought one a little while back, and I'm curious if your impressions match mine.

We all want newcomers to be welcome but I think no one can outgun you in finding the first posts..hehe.

To be honest vinceb, I have maybe shot it 15 times. I have been playing around with my B3-1 so much haven't had time to shoot the Airhawk much.
-
I'm going nuts...brown santa dropped off a huge package from these guys...I'm at work and it's only 1:30 and i won't get home until 6:00. :(
Got me a .22 QB-57, a .177 QB-57, and a GS35 pistol. :)

How did the order process go? So how much was the shipping if you don't mind? You had to have a minimum order right? I wondered about the dealer log in thing. Sounds like a good deal if you can meet the minimum order and if S&H isn't too bad
Give us the info on your new stuff!
Regards
Nathan
-
The order process was straightforward....no surprises.
If you follow the link at the top of this thread, you only have to meet the $100 minumum, no dealer stuff.
They don't tell you the shipping at order time...the box was pretty heavy and the shipping was $34...i guess these days that's not too bad for texas to pennsylvania :(
i'd order from them again.
Can't wait to get home :)
Frank

I know you said no dealer stuff but what about all the required stuff they ask for.
Company Name:
Company Type: required
Tax ID: required
Length in Business: required
Length at Address: required
State Incorporated: required
-
Or did you go to the store website directly?
-
I ordered from them a couple months ago, using the wholesale-central web address without any problems. I just filled in the info the best I could, and left blanks where I couldn't. I found that experience to be fairly smooth and trouble-free. I had ordered some pellets (garbage!), three B2s in 0.177 and three more in .22, but only the .177s were in stock. They shipped what they had immediately, even though the order was well below $100 at that point. They only charged me for what was shipped; shipping was a mystery until the package was received, but it completely reasonable. Finally, I received a call just a few days ago; they had finally received the guns I had on back-order, and did I still want them?
I tried to contact them via their main website, however, (several times), and they won't respond to my questions about ordering without a business license. Too bad, because the selection is much better at the main site.

I followed the link (instead of going directly to their site) and the company stuff was not required.

I'm still waiting on my backordered QB88, that I ordered in May.
