Was working in the shop when Missy started barking and I went up front to see what all the fuss was about. Well she had the UPS man pinned in the corner of the front porch..:) He was holding a long brown box... I quicklypeeled her fangsoff his ankle and apologized..:)
Now for the excitement..:) Ever since David Kirby bought his first Air Arms S 400, I have been in love. Last month when I went to Atlanta I got a look at his new baby and that was all it took to push me further into the Dark Side..:) Although I already own one PCP, the walnut finish on his Air Arms just made my mouth water and I just had to have one of dimm..:) I finally decided exactly what I wanted and started a relentless search. No one had the model I wanted..:( Finally I found the right guy and he just happened to have a shipment coming in shortly from England. So I put my order in for an AirArms S-410 .177, Carbine/Shrouded Barrel. It is a 12 ft lb. version that is strictly for shooting targets. Two weeks ago I ordered the tanks and hardware that I would need to fill the AA 410 and my other PCP which is an FX Cyclone .22. With the help of David Kirby everything worked this afternoon after I got the scope mounted and then proceeded to fill her up from a scuba tank. Good bye Hill Pump and Hello Scuba Tank.. hehe.. Of course I went through the basic procedure of checking screws and bolts and then cleaning the barrel. So now everything was ready and all I had to do was load the 10 pellet rotary clip. I used JSB Exacts 8.4g. and went through three fills. Did not notice the air gauge needle moving on the scuba tank which was a nice thing..:)
My impression of the AirArms S-410 Carbine, from visual to shooting is a 10. Everything went smoothly from loading pellets to cocking.and shooting.
PCP's are a breed of there own and to have a tastes for springers and PCP's is an expensive hobby..:) But now I have all the hardware after 3 years and will enjoy both the breeds of air guns that I own. The AirArms S 410 Carbine does not make me a better shooter but the experience of owning such a well made PCP's is a joy and will give me many years of pleasure..

Wow, that's a pretty shooter Gene. She has a gorgeous stick of wood on her too! Next thing ya know you'll be weighing pellets, constantly consulting your chrony, averaging fill/shot count ratios, etc. The Dark Side is strong young Jedi...........

Wow, Gene, She pretty . That looks like Turkish Walnut with all the swirls and different colors. I bet she really looks good in person. We need some pictures of groups when she gets broken in. kirby

Gene that is really a nice looking rifle and now that you have all that gear who knows what will happen next ? One thing for sure those springers will be setting in the gun rack collecting more dust than you ever imagined they would. Marvin

Congratulation Gene, wow that's a beauty! I just picked up a used S410 today, but only a beech stock, looking forward to shoot it though, my first PCP and almost what I was looking for.
Can't wait to hear how it shoots for you : )

That is one sweet shooter there Gene. I personally think pics of Gene's groups will be boring. He will be punching ten pellets through one hole. HEHEHE That is the rifle I told my wife I wanted her to get me for our anniversary this Sept.

But putting that aside, What a beautiful Rifle !!! I only wish I lived of the Land of theFREE, cause no one's home at the brave's... Great Shooter, and Very Beautiful Stock, rosewood grip cap and forend !!

She's a piece of work buddy, a work of art.:) The wood wrapped around her is fantastic and I'm sure that she shoot's the same. CONGRATS! and when you get bored with her just reach for a springer hehehe. Ed

Congrats on a fine lookin shooter Gene. I knew I should have stayed a few more days,hehe. Now you know in order to shoot FT, you'll need a custom fitted stock. So just send her on to me and I'll get you one made. It should only take a couple of years to make it and get the barrel seasoned for you.

Hey Bill, this ole Jedi will not give up his sabre..:) I love my springers and the challenge they present to hit the bullseye. Would never get bored shooting them either but maybe a tired cocking arm..:) Thats when the Dark Side takes over.. hehe. Thanks everyone for you compliments. I fell in love with the S-410 Carbine 12ft lb, target rifle when I saw David's and moved it to the top of my want list..:) For sure since I have bought the external hardware to go with it now, I will be shooting those pcp's along side my springers now..:) And Mike, I will do my own barrel seasioning myself...lol .... Now it is time to start working on Ed and he rest of ya...:) Jeff has crossed over recently with his new Talon and I wonder how long it will be before he invests in a tank..:) It took me 3 years...:)

I should have my tank this evening and Tiff's Disco is on the way. I don't think it will be long and Ed will be turning towrads the force,hehe.

Sure is nice. That is one I originally wanted but never got yet. Maybe if I get it, I can stop collecting more guns.

Heck Gene,,,,, I bought the tank(it's a pretty blue color) before I bought the Talon :)
I'd still like to get a pump also and probably will just so I have another filling option if I'm away from my scuba tank......

LOL Jeff.. I bought the same color, 80 cu ft..:) plus I got another 30cu ft bright yellow one to travel with..:) It is light and easy to carry. I also got a nice set of carry straps on sale at scuba.com for $9.95. Real nice and adjustible and has a nice rigid handle to hold on to. It is hard to believe you went ahead and got your tanks first..:) Your da man buddy. Hope you are having fun shooting your Talon. Have not heard much from you about it. You must be busy working.. Now Mike you know that Disco is for Tiffani...:) The tank is yours but the Disco is for Tiffani.. hehe Congratulation buddy. Where is Ed? Did he pick up that new Sumatra .25 Carbine yet?..:)

Yes the Disco is hers and I'm going to make a nice little stock, that will fit her. Since I'm going to have the tank, I'm going to switch the 2250xt, to HPA reg to800- 850psi. I may even put a .177 barrel on it and see how that does.
