I saw this on another Gamo forum and it looked cool. We all print out the same targets, and shoot and post on the Gamo Gate forum.
We could do this over like a month period, because not everyone has nice wheather and most work allot.
Lets set it up at 15 yards with a degree of difficulty. We can work up from there.
Of course all input is welcome as usual...:)
What do you all think?

Great idea, Gene. I wanted to get involved on the one on the other forum, but circumstances conspired against me. Here's the link to the target they were using, it's pretty cool. http://www.arld1.com/images/swfs/targetspageof3ringadjustablesize.swf this does all the work for you, all you have to do is pick a range and difficulty rating. I'm definitely in.

Those are the targets I have been using for a while now..:) Very nice ones I might add. We have to get enough of the Gamo Members to join in for it to be more fun. I don't have one of those shooting ranges near me. I thought we all could just mark off our targets, shoot and post all the targets at once...
I have never done this before but it looks fun. I do not know anything about judging all the actual distances or the rules of where the pellets land on the paper. I NEED HELP.....:)
Hope this would work out. Would be allot of fun..

Hey, Gene,
Here's the rules they used on the "other" Gamo forum.
1) All targets must be printed using Perry Babin’s scalable target generation program.
http://www.arld1.com/images/swfs/targetspageof3ringadjustablesize.swf
A. You must use 15 as the degree of difficulty. No exceptions.
B. Only one shot per target, 6 shots per sheet. PLEASE USE CARDBOARD BEHIND TARGET
TO PUNCH CLEAN HOLES.
C. Target distance may vary from sheet to sheet. Minimum 10 yards, no maximum,
challenge yourself if you have the space.
D. YOU MUST SHOOT ALL TARGETS ON A SHEET AT THE DISTANCE
INDICATED ON THE SHEET.
E. Verify your target bull size after printing and before shooting,
the middle ring is the outside perimeter of the kill zone. Examples:
15 yard Kill Zone = .5â€
30 yard Kill Zone = 1â€
45 yard Kill Zone = 1.5â€
F. Targets must have “Difficulty†and “Distance†printed on them
for documentation purposes.
2) You must shoot 4, 6 target sheets per entry.
A. ONCE YOU START SHOOTING FOR SCORE, YOU MUST SHOOT ALL 4 SHEETS,
24 TARGETS, 24 SHOTS WITHOUT STOPPING OR SUBSTITUTING(no do overs) A TARGET
SHEET.
B. You may submit multiple entries.
3) You may use either .177 or .22 caliber Gamo guns.
4) You may shoot from any position: Rested, offhand, prone, etc.
5) Scoring will be ?/24. Number of shots inside kill zone out of a possible 24.
A.Entry cut-off to be determined.
A thread will be started to start accepting submissions.
NO “DISCUSSION†WILL BE PERMITTED ON THIS
THREAD, ONLY TARGETS W/DESCRIPTION OF:
GUN
CALIBER
SHOOTING POSITION
B.All submissions will be on the Gamo Gate forum.
If you can’t digitize your targets, mail them to
someone who can.
C.Splits/â€shots on the lineâ€. 90% rule.
A split on an FT target cannot be considered reliable
enough to knock down the target, 90% of the pellet’s mass
must be inside the KZ, assume the ruling will go against you.
Don't see why we couldn't use the same rules for our first shoot-out. Even though I didn't get the chance to shoot over there, I followed what was going on, so if there are questions, or you need help, let me know. And I'm sure I'm not the only one that goes back and forth between the two forums, so I'd be surprised if I'm the only one that at least followed along. Looking forward to this taking off.

oooo can I play too? my 52 wants to play too!
-
Sorry, Youkilis,
Look at the rules, GAMO rifles only :-)! Of course, I would think that that just depends on what everyone wants. But since this is the Gamo forum... How about a seperate, concurrent open shoot on the Airgun gate? In the spirit of friendly competition, of course... So let the trash talking begin :-)!

That sounds like a great Idea Dave. I thought of it but was waiting for the curious to speak up...:) And it is all in the good taste with just a little teasing maybe... he he he. I may even put up my CFX Roya against the R9's ....:) Don't think the R 9 would have a chance though.. he he he
I wonder if that would even be fair putting my CFX up against an R-9. Wait till JP sees this...:)

Can someone post the link again, I'm not able to access the targets page at all. Tried following the link as well as typing it in, but got an error message saying page not available. Thanks.

Cool Mark. Don't forget to set your printer to print in landscape. Looking forward to seeing some more practice targets, so we can get the bugs ironed out. Now where am I going to come up with a rifle...

Forgot to mention this Dave. It looks like you know how to judge the targets.....:)

That sounds suspiciously like I'm being drafted :-). Well, I now how to avoid being drafted, I'll just volunteer. So read the rules, everyone. Chances are, if it touches the line, it will probably go against you. Especially if you use domed or pointed pellets. Ragged holes, don't ya know. Looking forward to seeing some more targets.
