: It's more then just hunting wildlife

It's protecting and taking a moment and just connect with Ma Nature. I was mowing the yard and out in front of me I spotted this little fella.:0 Way to young to be away from MOM but was unafraid and munching on my grass. I shut the mower down and slowly reached down and placed him in my hand, very cool. He just relaxed and tucked his ear's back some, no fear of human's yet and will stay that way awhile, gess I better raise him up until he can fend for himself alittle better. Now I gotta get a box together for a little home nest for GTA's newest addition lol. Just when you need a lift the Lord show's you little wonder. I will tag him in the ear safely to mark him so when released I won't hunt him by mistake, he will never by on my plate.:)Ed

Neat!

for some reason the bunnies in my area leave the gardens and the flowers alone, they just hide under my pines and bushes. for that reason I leave them completely alone.

its the squirrels that are the destroyers here.......

He's pretty cool "j" and now he's got a carboard home, let him out in the house and he just hopped around then stretched out on the floor and fell asleep hehehe. Had some veggies in the fridge so I dropped a few down for him, eat's like a horse. I can hold him and he just relaxes, I think I might be a new daddy lol. Ed

Tim it's just giving back to something that's giving me so much joy, hunting. I will keep him for a long while and I think he will become attached or is that me lol and will be hard to release him. Working on a name for him, checking out his personality.:) Ed

Hell, I'd keep it as a pet. As much as I hate to endorse making a pet out of a wild animal, It's going to be pretty tame by the time it's big enough to turn loose. Plus, they're so darned cute. It's strange, I love to hunt and eat rabbits. I also like them as pets.

"Here comes Peter Cottontail, hopping down the bunny trail. Hippity hop hop, Easter's on it's way."
OK, so it's a little cheesy to name him Peter Cottontail, but it fits.

I think Ed already refered to him once as "Hopper". I doubt Ed will ever turn "Hopper" out on his own, those two by now share a special bond. Even hunters like Ed & I have hearts that go beond comprehension of those that dont hunt. Ed will shurly name little bunny soon, if not already. Ed , like myself is awaiting some personality traits on  Mr/Mrs Bun Bun  to shine thru as to a clue to a fitting name. Stay tuned,, name comming soon!! Tim.

You have a heart of gold Ed, dont ever change,, Tim.P.S. Give "Boots" a little hug from me, & reashure him that all in his extended family are safe, as long as they stay out of my garden! Im sticking with squirrels & such. And Ed, please dont go finding any orphaned squirrels, crows, possums, racoons, dove, quail, grackels, ect,& for pete sakes,NO little "Bambi" deer,,,, I gotta hunt man!!
