: Air Arms S410 TDR Classic......
: gamo2hammerli May 23, 2008, 05:07:45 PM
This should be posted in the "Dark Side"......but will probably be read more here...so here goes;

At most websites the S410 TDR Classic is posted as having a velocity of 581fps....but at Cobra Air Guns it is posted as having 970 fps.  This is one of the HPA airguns I'm considering buying if I ever tip toe into the Dark Side. The TDR (Take Down Rifle) will be alot easier to transport inconspicuously....

Btw, the AA S410 in regular or carbine is listed at 920 fps in .22 caliber at all websites....only the TDR is listed at 581 fps.  Did CAG make a small error in their site?

Ooops...just realized I'm in the "Dark Side" forum.....

Hey Stanley

I was confused at first also..:) David can explain this very clearly..:) He straightened me out on the fps issue..:)

For instance I have two S-410's. One is a S-410 Carbine .177 set at factory at 12 fpe only. This one is available in bolt lever only.

The other one is a S-410 Classic 22 side lever which you can adjust the FPE from very low up to about 28 FPE.

David would know more details than me.

You also have the S-410 models which are the earlier models and you can get a good deal on some left over from the old price. they are all bolt action I think.

Good Luck

Gene

From what I undersatnd the TDR is only available in a 12fpe model from the factory . I has a very small airtube and wouldn't give many shots if modified , although Pomona AGS will modify one for you for $60 . You can read more here http://www.pomona-airguns.com/AATDR.htm . kirby

Thanks guys....that's what I've read too.  But even with a modification I don't think the TDR will reach 970fps.....that'll be around  28fpe in .22 caliber.  I didn't know there were still bolt action AA S410's left.....I had thought they were only in lever action.  I know the S410 still have the bolt action in the 12fpe model only.  Thanks for the heads-up.....   Actually I think I would like the bolt action more than the lever action.....
